Chateau Pedesclaux 2016
On request only
Chateau Pedesclaux 2016 is the grand vin of the estate in Pauillac, Bordeaux. As a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, it carries the weight of a recognised Pauillac name, but this vintage also has a more specific point of interest: 2016 is described as the first vintage in the history of Chateau Pedesclaux to bring Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc together in the grand vin blend.
The wine comes from Garonne gravel over a limestone subsoil, with harvesting and selection carried out in a notably precise way. Grapes were picked by hand in crates, sorted by bunch and berry, and vinified by gravity without pumping. Maturation followed for 18 months in French oak barrels, giving the wine a measured framework around (…)Chateau Pedesclaux 2018

Chateau Pedesclaux 2018 is a red Bordeaux from Pauillac on the Left Bank, made as the grand vin of a 5ème Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. Cabernet Sauvignon leads the blend, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. That gives the wine a recognisably Médoc shape: dark-fruited, structured and serious, with the depth one expects from Pauillac.
The 2018 vintage is an important part of the story. A wet winter and spring were followed by a dry, sunny and warm summer. According to the château, the result was small berries with concentrated aromas, while the contrast between day and night helped preserve freshness. The grapes were hand-picked selectively and carefully sorted. Vinification took place without pumps, with gentle (…)Chateau Pedesclaux 2022

Chateau Pedesclaux 2022

Chateau Pedesclaux 2022 is the estate's grand vin from Pauillac, not Fleur de Pedesclaux. It is a dry red Bordeaux blend from Pauillac AOC, produced by a château classified as a 5ème Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification.
The 2022 vintage places cabernet sauvignon firmly at the centre of the wine, making up 68% of the blend alongside merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. The vineyard is described as 52 hectares spread over 19 terroirs, with Garonne gravel over limestone. That setting underpins the wine's dark fruit concentration, firm Pauillac structure and mineral edge.
This vintage also marks an important step for Chateau Pedesclaux: 2022 was the first organically certified vintage and the first grand vin to be fully vinified by (…)Chateau Pedesclaux 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Pedesclaux 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
In stock
Chateau Pedesclaux 2022 Magnum is the Grand Vin of Chateau Pedesclaux from Pauillac, bottled here in the 1.5-litre magnum format. The format does not indicate a separate cuvée; it is the estate's first wine in a larger bottle. For a serious Pauillac, that makes sense: it gives the wine presence at the table and suits a bottle that can reward further ageing.
The estate is a 5th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. In 2022 the blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot, cabernet franc and petit verdot. That composition sets the tone for a wine with a clear Pauillac identity: structure, dark fruit, aromatic depth, floral detail and a savoury, spicy edge.
The 2022 vintage is also significant for Chateau Pedesclaux because it (…)Fleur De Pedesclaux 2016

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2016

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2016 is the second wine of Château Pedesclaux in Pauillac, a property classified as a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in 1855. It is not the château's grand vin, but it clearly belongs to the same Bordeaux setting: Pauillac, Garonne gravel over limestone, careful vineyard work and a vintage where selection mattered.
The blend gives this wine its particular angle. With 67% merlot, 30% cabernet sauvignon and 3% petit verdot, the 2016 Fleur De Pedesclaux carries a marked merlot influence in an appellation often associated with cabernet sauvignon. That helps explain the château's own description of the wine as fresher, lighter in feel and more supple than the grand vin, with a rounder, silkier texture.
Harvesting was (…)Fleur De Pedesclaux 2020

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2020

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2020 is the second wine of Château Pedesclaux in Pauillac, Bordeaux. It carries the origin and pedigree of a fifth growth estate from the 1855 classification, while being presented by the château in a fresher, more supple and fruit-led style than the grand vin.
The 2020 blend combines cabernet sauvignon, merlot and a small proportion of petit verdot. Merlot plays a notably important role here, giving this Pauillac a softer and more immediately expressive side. The vineyard setting is classic for the area, with Garonne gravel over limestone, and the grapes were harvested by hand with sorting first by bunch and then by individual berry.
In the cellar, the wine was handled by gravity, without pumps, with a cold pre-fermentation (…)Fleur De Pedesclaux 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Fleur de Pedesclaux 2020 is the second wine of Château Pedesclaux in Pauillac, offered here in a 1.5-litre magnum. That larger format suits the wine well: it feels at home at the table, especially alongside red meat, grilled dishes, game, poultry or hard cheeses.
The 2020 blend brings together cabernet sauvignon, merlot and a small proportion of petit verdot. With its relatively generous share of merlot, it shows a more supple and fruit-led side of Pauillac, while still carrying the Bordeaux identity of the château's gravel and limestone terroir.
There is serious work behind the wine: hand harvesting in small crates, selection of bunches and berries, gravity-fed vinification and 12 months of ageing in barriques. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see (…)Fleur De Pedesclaux 2022

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2022

Fleur De Pedesclaux 2022 is the second wine of Château Pedesclaux in Pauillac, made from the same estate as the grand vin but shaped as a more approachable expression of its terroir. The 2022 blend is 49% merlot, 46% cabernet sauvignon and 5% petit verdot, giving the wine a fruit-led side while keeping the firm, structured line associated with Pauillac.
The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, producing small berries and strong concentration. At the same time, the estate highlights balance and freshness in the wine. This was also Château Pedesclaux's first vintage with organic certification in the vineyard. With 35% new oak, the ageing supports the dark fruit, cocoa and spice notes without being described as dominant.
