Scapegrace Blood Moon is a New Zealand gin built around blood orange grown locally in the Tauranga region. In the selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a bright, citrus-led gin with a fresh and summery feel, while still keeping the recognisable structure of juniper at its core.
The recipe brings together dried and fresh botanicals, giving the gin a lively aromatic lift. Blood orange brings the juicy fruit character, while juniper, fresh mint and a dry peppery edge add definition. At 41.6% ABV, it has enough strength to carry those flavours with clarity.
It is very much a gin for warm evenings and refreshing serves, especially when citrus and freshness are what you are looking for.

6 Moments The Pink Devil 666 is a Belgian gin with a name that immediately sets the tone. Presented in a 50cl bottle and bottled at 46.66% ABV, it carries the 666 reference through its identity in a way that makes it stand apart from more conventional gin releases.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this kind of limited Belgian bottling is the sort of product we like to highlight for customers looking beyond the familiar names. With 1175 bottles produced and only the last bottles remaining, The Pink Devil 666 has become a scarcer release within the 6 Moments range.

Amuerte Red 6 Glazen

Amuerte Red 6 Glazen is a set of six glasses made for serving drinks with a consistent, considered presentation. The Red reference places the set within the Amuerte style, making it a fitting choice when the look of the serve matters as much as the bottle on the table.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, accessories like this are treated as part of the drinking experience rather than simple extras. A matching set of six glasses is especially useful when pouring for guests and keeping the presentation in one clear visual line.
These are the last available pieces, so this set is particularly relevant for anyone looking to complete an Amuerte presentation while it is still possible.
As an accessory, this set does not have tasting notes of its own. The (…)
Frequently asked questions
Answers to the most frequently asked questions about gin
What is gin?
Gin is a spirit distilled from neutral alcohol, to which juniper and other botanicals (herbs, spices and fruits) are added. Juniper berry is mandatory: without it, it cannot officially be called gin.
What is the difference between gin and gin?
Although they are related, there is a distinct difference. Jenever is the traditional Dutch/Belgian variety, often malty and fuller in flavour. Gin is lighter, fresher and mostly more focused on herbs and citrus.
What types of gin are there?
- London Dry Gin: the most classic and sleek style, with no added sugars.
- Plymouth Gin: a protected designation of origin, a little softer and earthier.
- Old Tom Gin: slightly sweeter, often used in historic cocktails.
- New Western or Contemporary Gin: more modern style in which juniper is less dominant and other botanicals play the main role.
How strong is gin?
Usually between 37.5% and 47% alcohol, depending on brand and style.
Where does gin originally come from?
Its roots are in the Low Countries, with gin being its forerunner. British soldiers took the idea to England, where gin became a huge hype in the 18th century.
What are botanicals?
These are the herbs, spices and fruits that give gin its flavour. Besides juniper, you often see coriander seed, angelica root, citrus peel, cinnamon, cardamom, lavender and more.
What gin do you use for a gin tonic?
It depends on your taste. A classic London Dry goes well with a neutral tonic, while a more floral gin can shine with a spicy or fruity tonic. Garnish (lemon, cucumber, rosemary, ...) finishes it off.
Which gin is suitable for drinking pure?
More and more premium gins are smooth and complex enough to drink pure or with a little ice. New Western styles and special cask-aged gins are particularly interesting to taste this way.
What is the difference between gin and vodka?
Both are neutral distillates, but with gin, botanicals are co-distilled or added, giving the drink much more flavour and character.
What is pink gin?
This is gin that has a pink colour, usually due to the addition of red fruits (strawberry, raspberry, rhubarb, ...). Often also slightly sweeter in taste and popular in refreshing mixed drinks.
How do you use gin in cocktails?
Gin is hugely versatile and can be used for much more than just a gin & tonic. Well-known cocktails include the Negroni, Martini, Tom Collins, French 75 and Aviation.
The spicy base of gin makes it pair well with citrus, bitters and sparkling wine.
