Chateau Palmer Historical Xix Century 2014

Château Palmer Historical XIXth Century 2014 is not a conventional Margaux release, but a red Vin de France built around a historical idea. It refers to the 19th-century practice known as hermitagé, when Bordeaux wines were sometimes complemented with Rhône wine. In this modern version, the Palmer foundation remains Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from Margaux, with a modest addition of Syrah from the northern Rhône.
That small Rhône element changes the conversation without taking the wine away from its Bordeaux roots. The 2014 edition, often associated with lot L.20.14, sits outside the Margaux and Bordeaux appellations because of this blend, and that is part of its identity rather than a technical detail.

Chateau Palmer Historical Xix Century 2019
On request only
Chateau Palmer Historical Xix Century 2019 is deliberately different from a conventional Margaux release. Château Palmer uses this cuvée to revisit a nineteenth-century practice in which Bordeaux wines were complemented by a small proportion of wine from Hermitage or the northern Rhône. Because of that Rhône component, the wine is classified as Vin de France rather than as a Margaux appellation wine.
The 2019 blend brings together Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and a smaller share of wine from the northern Côtes du Rhône, identified in product specifications as Syrah. The Palmer part gives the Bordeaux foundation: Merlot from the vintage described as powerful, generous and full-bodied, with Cabernet Sauvignon retaining more coolness and (…)Collin Bourisset Incontournable Gamay Syrah 2022

Collin Bourisset Incontournable Gamay Syrah 2022
Not available for shipping
Collin Bourisset Incontournable Gamay Syrah 2022 is a French red wine released as Vin de France. That broader origin category suits the idea behind the L'Incontournable range: the focus is less on a single appellation and more on the recognisable character of the grapes.
Here, the wine is built around a blend of Gamay and Syrah. For this range, Collin Bourisset works with selected partner growers from different French regions, aiming for fruit purity, elegance and roundness. It is a grape-led red wine, presented in a clear and approachable house style without pretending to be more region-specific than the label states.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place with French reds that are easy to understand yet still have a defined identity. (…)Collin Bourisset Incontournable Pinot Noir 2025

Collin Bourisset Incontournable Pinot Noir 2025 is a French red wine built around a clear expression of Pinot Noir. The L'Incontournable range is based on a small selection of winegrowers from different French regions, with Collin Bourisset looking for wines that respect the character of the grape variety, with clean fruit, elegance and roundness.
The grapes for this Pinot Noir come from the Auvergne, where the continental climate helps bring freshness to the wine. It is made using traditional vinification with temperature control and matured in stainless steel tanks. That points to a style where fruit expression and freshness take the lead: dry, light in body and easy to place at the table.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Pinot Noir we would (…)Du Tertre Blanc 2020

Du Tertre Blanc 2020

Du Tertre Blanc 2020 is a white wine with a distinct identity within the world of Château du Tertre. The estate is historically linked to Margaux, yet this wine is released as Vin de France. That choice reflects the blend: sauvignon blanc is joined by chardonnay, gros manseng and viognier. It is therefore not a conventional white Bordeaux, but a freer French white from a domaine with a serious viticultural background.
The 2020 vintage came from a notably warm and dry summer. The grapes grew on sandy and gravelly soils, with the technical information pointing to full ripeness while retaining freshness. Harvesting was carried out by hand, followed by manual and optical sorting. Only the first press juices were kept. Fermentation took place partly in stainless steel and (…)Du Tertre Blanc 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Du Tertre Blanc 2020 Magnum shows a different side of Château du Tertre. The estate is strongly linked with red Margaux, yet this white wine steps outside that frame and is released as Vin de France. That choice makes sense when you look at the blend: this is not a conventional Bordeaux white, but a deliberately distinctive cuvée.
The 2020 vintage combines Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Gros Manseng and Viognier. Sauvignon Blanc brings the citrus lift, freshness and tension; Chardonnay adds roundness; Viognier contributes floral nuance; and Gros Manseng gives ripeness with a saline edge. The grapes come from a 3.86-hectare white-wine vineyard on sandy and gravelly soils, described by the producer as helping preserve freshness during the particularly hot, dry (…)Du Tertre Blanc 2021

Du Tertre Blanc 2021 is a white wine that shows a different side of Château du Tertre. The estate is known as a 5th Grand Cru Classé in Margaux, yet this wine is released as Vin de France because its blend steps outside the traditional Bordeaux framework.
The 2021 vintage combines gros manseng, sauvignon blanc, viognier and chardonnay. Each variety plays a clear role: sauvignon blanc brings freshness and precision, chardonnay adds volume, viognier contributes aromatic and floral notes, and gros manseng gives drive and acidity. The fruit comes from a separate white vineyard of around 3.86 hectares, planted on light gravel and deep sandy soils.
Its dry, aromatic style is shaped further in the cellar through stainless steel fermentation and ageing (…)Du Tertre Blanc 2022

Du Tertre Blanc 2022

Du Tertre Blanc 2022 is a white wine with a very particular position in the story of Château du Tertre. The estate is closely linked with Margaux, yet this white cuvée is released as Vin de France, giving it the freedom to work outside the usual appellation frame. Its blend brings together gros manseng, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and viognier, an uncommon combination in a Bordeaux context.
The grapes come from sandy, gravelly soils and were harvested by hand. Cold pressing is followed by fermentation and maturation in barriques and demi-muids. Six months on fine lees, with weekly bâtonnage, add texture and breadth while keeping the oak influence in a supporting role rather than making it dominant.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a (…)
