Château Giscours 2020 is the grand vin of Château Giscours, from Margaux in the Médoc. This red Bordeaux carries the 1855 Troisième Grand Cru Classé classification, and the 2020 blend is made from 56% Cabernet Sauvignon and 44% Merlot. That composition gives a clear sense of the wine: Cabernet Sauvignon brings structure, freshness and depth, while Merlot adds roundness.
For this vintage, the estate aimed to continue the line of 2019 while preserving the recognisable Giscours style, with aromatic expression and fine tannins at the centre. The grapes were selected manually and optically, then fermented and macerated in concrete and stainless-steel vats. The 35-day maceration was guided by tasting rather than forceful extraction.

It comes from a vintage marked by heat and dryness from spring through summer, yet the available notes point to a wine where concentration is held together by freshness.
The blend is led by cabernet sauvignon at 64%, supported by 30% merlot, 3% petit verdot and 3% cabernet franc. The fruit comes from the estate's vineyards on deep Garonne gravel soils. Harvest took place from 1 to 29 September, with both manual and optical selection, followed by vinification in concrete and stainless steel and 17 months of ageing in French oak barriques, half of them new.

This red Bordeaux comes from selected historic parcels in the Haut-Médoc, made by the same technical team and with the same attention to detail as the estate's other wines.
The 2022 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc. According to the château, this is the first vintage in which Cabernet Franc has been included in Haut-Médoc Giscours, adding a spicier edge to the wine's dark-fruited left-bank character.
