Château Giscours 2022 Demi is the grand vin of Château Giscours in a 37.5 cl half-bottle. It is not a separate cuvée, but the same Margaux 2022 in a more convenient format. That makes it a very appealing way to open a serious Bordeaux when a full bottle is not required.The 2022 vintage was described by the château as exceptionally warm and dry from spring through summer. In that kind of year, selection matters. One of the striking details here is that no second wine, La Sirène de Giscours, was made in 2022, focusing the selection more strongly on the grand vin. Cabernet Sauvignon forms the core of the blend, supported by Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc.
After manual and optical sorting, fermentation and maceration took place in concrete and stainless steel vats, followed by 17 months in French oak barriques, half of them new. The result is positioned firmly in the world of structured Margaux: ripe dark fruit, floral detail, mineral tension and fine tannins with clear ageing intent.

Château Giscours is a historic winery from the Bordeaux region in France, located in Margaux on the left bank of the Gironde. The wine estate has a history dating back to the 14th century but began producing wine on a significant scale in the 19th century. Château Giscours was recognized in 1855 as a Troisième Grand Cru Classé during the renowned classification of Bordeaux wines, indicating that it belongs to the leading wine estates of the region. The vineyards of Giscours cover more than 80 hectares, primarily with cabernet sauvignon, merlot, and a small share of cabernet franc and petit verdot.
