Flavour notes
The aromatic and flavour profile brings together dark and red fruit: black cherry, blackberry, blackcurrant, raspberry, red cherry, plum and blueberry. Floral notes of violet, iris, rose and peony add lift, while darker tones of cocoa, dark chocolate, espresso, cedar, liquorice, black pepper, mint, earth and truffle give extra depth. In structure, it is described as medium-bodied to medium-full-bodied, with fine, polished, silky or velvety tannins that still have clear presence. Fresh acidity supports the wine, and the finish returns to savoury, mineral and lightly saline notes, alongside spice and dark chocolate.

Product info about La Petite Eglise 2022
La Petite Eglise 2022 is a dry red Pomerol from Château L'Eglise-Clinet, made as the estate's second wine but drawn from specific parcels within the property. The fruit comes from sites that include a parcel near the church of Pomerol and another close to Château La Fleur-Pétrus, giving this wine a clear sense of place rather than a generic second-label role. The 2022 vintage was marked by an early harvest, running from 31 August to 9 September. The blend is 85% merlot and 15% cabernet franc, matured in oak barrels with 60% new oak. That élevage gives shape and depth, while the tasting notes point strongly towards pure fruit, floral lift, mineral detail and polished structure.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Bordeaux that stands out quietly: not through volume, but through precision and scarcity. Production for La Petite Eglise 2022 is noted at around 4,700 bottles, and the availability of the last bottles underlines how limited this release is.
The wine has also received strong recognition from established critics, with published scores in the low-to-mid nineties. Several notes suggest that a few years in bottle will help the new oak integrate further, while the fruit concentration and freshness are already central to its identity.
