Le Petit Smith Haut Lafitte White 2022 in magnum is a dry white Bordeaux from Pessac-Léognan, produced by Château Smith Haut Lafitte in Martillac. It sits within the same estate setting as the grand vin, yet has its own blend and personality rather than simply feeling like a secondary label.For the 2022 vintage, the blend is 80% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Sémillon. That gives the wine its fresh, aromatic drive, while the Sémillon and lees ageing add texture and depth. The grapes come from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards and are hand-harvested in small crates. Fermentation and ageing take place in French oak barriques, partly new, with 12 months on the lees.
