Château Fleur Cardinale 2022 is a dry red Bordeaux from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru. It is the grand vin of the Decoster family's estate in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse and carries Grand Cru Classé status, but what really defines it is the link between vineyard site, vintage conditions and the estate's parcel-by-parcel approach.The 2022 growing season was dry and warm, with a dry spring and a hot, dry summer. In that context, the clay-limestone soils on the plateau and slopes east of Saint-Émilion are more than background detail: the vintage information specifically connects them with freshness and water retention. The blend, led by merlot with cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon, reflects a wine built around ripe dark fruit, structure and a mineral line.
In the cellar, the wine was vinified by plot in small temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with wooden vessels also used. A cold pre-fermentation maceration and 12 to 14 months of ageing in French oak barrels, foudres and a small proportion of amphora add depth while keeping the Saint-Émilion identity clearly in view.

Ch Fleur Cardinale is a French wine that originates from Saint-Emilion, one of the most renowned wine regions of Bordeaux. The wine estate is officially known as Chateau Fleur Cardinale and is located on the eastern edge of the appellation Saint-Emilion Grand Cru. Since 2001, the estate has been owned by the Decoster family, who have since further developed the winery and invested in both the vineyards and wine production. The vineyards cover approximately 23 hectares and are largely planted with Merlot, complemented by Cabernet Franc and a smaller portion of Cabernet Sauvignon, a classic combination for the region. The wine is usually characterized as full-bodied, powerful and with soft tannins, making it fit well with the style Saint-Emilion is known for.
