Odyssee 2019 is a dry French red wine built around an unusual crossing of regions: cabernet sauvignon from the Médoc is blended with grenache and mourvèdre from the southern Rhône. Because that combination sits outside a single appellation framework, the wine is released as Vin de France, and that freedom is very much part of its identity.The 2019 blend is 55% cabernet sauvignon, 25% grenache and 20% mourvèdre. The cabernet brings structure, dark fruit and tannin, while the Rhône varieties add ripe fruit, spice and Mediterranean herbal depth. French oak is part of the ageing, but the wine is not simply trying to be Bordeaux or Rhône; it stands somewhere deliberately in between.
