Château Poujeaux 2019 is a red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc and represents the estate's grand vin. The château is based on the gravel soils of Grand-Poujeaux, with 70 hectares of vineyard and vines averaging around 30 years of age. That background matters here: this is a Médoc wine shaped by its place, rather than a generic Bordeaux label.
The 2019 vintage is built on cabernet sauvignon and merlot, with a small proportion of petit verdot. According to the producer, the season brought real contrasts: a mild, wet autumn and winter, a difficult spring, then a very hot and dry summer. Refreshing rain before harvest helped deliver ripe, concentrated berries while preserving balance.

Château Poujeaux 2020 is a dry red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc and represents the château's grand vin. The blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot and a smaller proportion of petit verdot. That gives the wine a firmly left-bank shape: dark fruit, clear structure, ripe but present tannins and a sense of restraint rather than immediate softness.
The 2020 vintage had a marked contrast in weather. A very wet autumn and a mild, humid start to the growing season were followed by a hot, dry summer and early ripening. Harvest took place from 17 September to 2 October, with concentrated merlot and cabernet sauvignon plus petit verdot adding tannic depth and aromatic complexity.

Château Poujeaux 2020 in magnum is a red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc and represents the estate's grand vin. The blend follows a classic Médoc direction, led by cabernet sauvignon, with merlot and petit verdot adding depth and support.
The 2020 vintage was shaped by a wet, mild start to the season followed by a hot, dry summer. Yields were low and the grapes gained concentration. In the final wine, merlot brings density, while cabernet sauvignon and petit verdot contribute tannic structure and aromatic detail.
Vinification was carried out with whole berries and parcel selections in stainless steel, wooden and concrete vats. The wine then matured for 12 months, with part of the ageing in new barriques. The result is very much in the (…)Chateau Poujeaux 2021

Château Poujeaux 2021 Magnum is a red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc on the Left Bank. The 1.5-litre bottle contains the estate's main wine, not a separate cuvée, so the appeal here is partly the generous format itself: a bottle made for the table, with the potential for slower development than a standard 75 cl bottle when stored correctly.
The wine comes from a single 72-hectare vineyard on Günz gravel soils. Its blend is firmly rooted in the Médoc tradition, with 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot. The 2021 vintage was not an easy one, marked by a wet winter, a cold spring and frost on exposed plots, yet the better-protected terroirs delivered fruit with freshness, tannin and aromatic definition.

Château Poujeaux 2022 is a red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc, clearly shaped by the Left Bank tradition. Cabernet Sauvignon forms the largest part of the blend, supported by Merlot and a small proportion of Petit Verdot, giving a dry, structured wine with dark fruit, freshness and polished but present tannins.
The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, yet the estate describes the fruit as homogeneous and concentrated. In this wine, Merlot brings softness and sun-ripened depth, while Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot add freshness, tannic structure and aromatic detail. Twelve months in barriques, including a portion of new oak, add notes such as cedar, cigar box, toast and spice without taking the wine away from its Médoc identity.
