Château Gazin 2019 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Gazin from Pomerol, on Bordeaux's right bank. The 1.5-litre magnum is not a separate cuvée, but it does give this vintage a particular sense of occasion and cellar presence.The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Its fruit comes from the Pomerol plateau, where clay, gravel and iron-rich elements shape the vineyard setting. In the warm, dry 2019 season, that clay was especially important, helping the estate retain freshness after a cool, wet spring and a very dry summer.
In the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and fermented by parcel and variety in small concrete vats. The grand vin was matured with 50% new oak, yet the available tasting descriptions point to oak that supports the wine rather than taking over.

Château Gazin is a French winery from the famous Bordeaux region and is known for its production of red wine on the right bank area of the Dordogne river.
