Chateau Gazin 2019

Château Gazin 2019 is the estate's grand vin, a red Pomerol from Bordeaux's Right Bank. It comes from the Pomerol plateau, where clay and gravel are central to the identity of the wine. The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc for added structure, spice and aromatic detail.
The 2019 growing season brought a hot, very dry summer. In that setting, the clay soils were particularly important, helping the vines retain freshness and avoid a halt in ripening. Château Gazin harvested parcel by parcel at the desired point of maturity, and on certain young merlot vines bunches were removed to avoid overripe fruit notes and dry, rustic tannins.
The wine was vinified without sulphur and matured in barriques, with 50% new (…)Chateau Gazin 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Gazin 2019 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Gazin 2019 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Gazin from Pomerol, on Bordeaux's right bank. The 1.5-litre magnum is not a separate cuvée, but it does give this vintage a particular sense of occasion and cellar presence.
The blend is led by merlot, supported by cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. Its fruit comes from the Pomerol plateau, where clay, gravel and iron-rich elements shape the vineyard setting. In the warm, dry 2019 season, that clay was especially important, helping the estate retain freshness after a cool, wet spring and a very dry summer.
In the cellar, the grapes were destemmed and fermented by parcel and variety in small concrete vats. The grand vin was matured with 50% new oak, yet the available tasting (…)Chateau Gazin 2020

Chateau Gazin 2020

Chateau Gazin 2020 is the grand vin of Château Gazin in Pomerol, Bordeaux. It is a dry red wine with a strongly Merlot-led composition: 91.6% Merlot and 8.4% Cabernet Sauvignon. For the first time, no Cabernet Franc was used in the grand vin; the estate's Cabernet Franc went instead into the second wine, L'Hospitalet de Gazin.
The 2020 vintage gives a clear view of Gazin's place on the Pomerol plateau. Budbreak and flowering came early, followed by a warm, dry July and August. According to the producer, the clay-rich soils helped supply water reserves during the dry season, although the drought reduced grape volume. That background suits the style described for this wine: structured, fresh, youthful and made with time in mind.
After sorting and (…)Chateau Gazin 2021

Chateau Gazin 2021
In stock
Château Gazin 2021 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux with a notably pure Merlot focus. In this vintage, the grand vin was blended entirely from Merlot, while the Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon harvested on the estate were used for the second wine. That gives the 2021 a distinct place in the Gazin story: less about warmth and sheer power, more about freshness, line and the classical side of Pomerol.
The estate's vineyard lies on the Pomerol plateau, on high terrace soils of clay, gravel and iron oxides, with blue clay in the subsoil. In the cooler, less sunny 2021 vintage, that setting translates into a wine with poise rather than excess ripeness. Fourteen months in barriques, half of them new, add structure and polish while keeping the focus on red and dark fruit, (…)Chateau Gazin 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Gazin 2021 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Château Gazin 2021 Demi presents the Pomerol grand vin in a practical 37.5 cl half bottle. It is a thoughtful format when you want to open a serious Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle, particularly for a smaller dinner or a carefully matched dish.
For Gazin, 2021 is notable because the grand vin was made entirely from Merlot. The growing season was cooler and wetter, giving a more classical Pomerol expression with less emphasis on ripeness and alcohol than in warmer vintages. The wine spent 14 months in barriques, half new and half one-wine-old, adding structure without taking the focus away from the vintage.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this half bottle as a refined choice for drinkers who appreciate fresher, more measured Bordeaux from (…)Chateau Gazin 2022

Chateau Gazin 2022
In stock
Château Gazin 2022 is the estate's red grand vin from Pomerol in Bordeaux. Merlot is firmly at the centre of the blend, supported by small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The wine comes from Gazin's own vineyard on the Pomerol plateau, a single block of around 26 hectares with gravel-rich soils, blue and green clay, and iron oxides.
The 2022 growing season was hot and dry, producing small berries and a lower yield than usual. One detail makes this vintage particularly noteworthy: Château Gazin did not produce its second wine, L'Hospitalet de Gazin, in 2022. The stated production for Château Gazin 2022 is 67,000 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, that gives the wine a very specific place in the selection, especially as these are the last (…)Chateau Gazin 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Chateau Gazin 2022 Demi (37,5cl)
In stock
Château Gazin 2022 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle of Château Gazin's grand vin from Pomerol. It is the same 2022 red Pomerol, not the estate's second wine. That smaller format is useful when you want to open a serious Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle.
The blend is firmly led by merlot at 94%, with 3% cabernet sauvignon and 3% cabernet franc. The fruit comes from the estate's vineyards on the Pomerol plateau, where gravel, blue and green clay and iron-rich elements shape the wine's identity. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, with small berries and an early harvest. Because the tannins were already ripe, Château Gazin opted for gentle, moderate extraction.
Sixteen months in barriques, half of them new, give this Pomerol a frame (…)Chateau Gazin 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Chateau Gazin 2022 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Château Gazin 2022 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Gazin in Pomerol, bottled here in the 1.5-litre format. Magnum refers to the bottle size, not to a separate cuvée. In the Bordeaux range at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a serious Pomerol from a warm, dry vintage, with the added presence that a magnum naturally brings to the table.
The estate covers 26 hectares on the clay and gravel plateau of Pomerol, in one large block. The 2022 blend is led overwhelmingly by merlot, supported by small proportions of cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc. That gives the wine a clear Gazin identity: ripe fruit, floral detail and a structure shaped by the estate's gravel and clay soils.
The 2022 season brought high temperatures, dry conditions (…)
