The English Whisky Company 12y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)
On request only
The English Whisky Company 12y is a fine example of how compelling single malt from Great Britain can be when given time to mature. Aged for 12 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled by Cadenhead as part of the Original Collection, it feels focused on the whisky itself rather than on decoration or spectacle.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for the combination of an English single malt identity, independent bottling and a mature age statement. Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its profile, with spice as the clearest element and lighter traces of wood, fruit, floral notes, saltiness and gentle peat in support.
With the last bottles now in our selection, it is the kind of whisky that rewards a curious drinker looking beyond the most (…)Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 Tube Incl.

Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 Tube Incl.
Temporarily sold out
Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 is a Japanese single malt where the production method immediately gives the whisky its point of interest. It was made from imported barley from Scotland and Germany and matured in ex-bourbon casks, but the defining detail is the first distillation in the W-still, a still heated directly by a wood fire.
That wood-fired distillation gives this release a distinctly crafted feel, without turning it into a heavily smoky whisky. Mostly unpeated malt was used, so the peat appears as a light background note rather than a dominant feature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to present for its sense of place in the glass: grain, fire, bourbon wood and gentle smoke all playing their part.

Bowmore 14y Bordeaux Finish Incl. Box

Bowmore 14y Bordeaux Finish is built around a clear meeting point: Islay single malt on one side, a Bordeaux cask finish on the other. The whisky keeps its Scottish island identity, while the Bordeaux Finish adds another layer to a 14-year-old Bowmore.
What stands out here is the way the profile is shaped. Peat and a salty accent are present, but they do not take over completely. Spice has the stronger voice, with lighter touches of fruit, floral notes and wood sitting around it. That gives the whisky a more layered impression than a purely peat-driven Islay malt.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this kind of Bowmore as especially interesting for drinkers who enjoy Islay, yet want to explore what a wine cask finish can bring to a single malt. Bottled at 43%, (…)Talisker 11y Sr 2022

Talisker 11y SR 2022 is a Scotch single malt from Skye with a notably direct presentation. Aged for 11 years and bottled at 55.1% cask strength, it shows the whisky in a more powerful, less softened form, while still keeping its structure clear.
Its Bourbon Barrel maturation gives a measured wood influence rather than dominating the style. Spice is the main thread here, supported by lighter touches of fruit, floral nuance, saltiness and peat. That combination keeps the Skye identity in view, but with a compact, energetic feel of its own.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of customers who enjoy single malts with a more direct cask-strength character. With only the last bottles remaining, this SR 2022 release also has the (…)Rock Island 10y (Douglas Laing Regional Malts) Tube Incl.

Rock Island 10y belongs to Douglas Laing's Regional Malts range, a series built around blended malts that capture recognisable sides of Scotland's whisky regions. Douglas Laing brings its independent bottler background to the range, along with the playful presentation and dry humour that make these bottles stand out on the shelf.
Rock Island is all about Scotland's islands. This 10-year-old blended malt brings together single malts from island locations including Orkney, Arran, Jura and Islay. Rather than pointing to one single distillery, it gives the feeling of a coastal journey: wet rocks, sea spray, smouldering wood and a gentle thread of smoke.

Rock Island 14y Sherry (Douglas Laing Regional Malts) Tube Incl.

Rock Island 14y Sherry is a limited blended malt from Douglas Laing's Regional Malts series, a range built around the classic whisky identities of Scotland's different regions. Rock Island represents the wilder island side of that story, with whiskies drawn from Jura, Orkney, Arran and Islay.
The sherry maturation gives this 14-year-old release an extra layer of richness while keeping the island influence clearly in view. There is room here for coastal freshness, gentle peat smoke, spice and darker fruit, all carried by a bottling strength of 46.8%.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging Rock Island for anyone who enjoys the Regional Malts approach but wants a version with more sherry depth and maturity. Remarkable Regional Malts Mid Autumn The Asia Moon is a Douglas Laing blended malt with a broader, more celebratory angle than the usual Regional Malts idea. The series is known for capturing the character of Scottish malt whisky with a playful sense of presentation, and this Asia Moon Edition brings together single malts from all Scottish regions in one limited release.
It was created in honour of the Moon Festival, and that sense of occasion suits the whisky well. The blend was finished in port, bourbon and sherry casks, then bottled at 50%, giving it enough strength and structure to carry its spicy, malty and gently smoky side with confidence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as one of those Douglas Laing releases that has more personality than a (…)Kornog 2011 12y Ex Libris Une Ile En Terre Tube Incl.

Kornog 2011 12y Ex Libris Une Ile En Terre is a French single malt with a very focused identity: one vintage, one bourbon cask and a very small outturn. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023, it spent twelve years maturing before being released as a single cask whisky.
Only 78 bottles were drawn from that cask, and it was bottled at cask strength at 58.2%. That makes this a direct presentation of one individual maturation, rather than a broader, blended expression shaped for consistency.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, these small Ex Libris releases are the kind of bottles we value for their specificity. They allow you to taste a particular snapshot of French single malt, with the cask, age and strength all playing a visible role in the experience.

Macaloney Siol Dugall is a Canadian single malt with a distinctive lightly peated identity. The smoke is described as sweet rather than overpowering, allowing the whisky's herbal, floral, fruity and spicy sides to come through clearly.
Its appeal lies in the way those elements unfold together: rose petals and freshly cut grass, dates and plums, orange zest, rosemary, fennel, oak and cedar. Nutmeg, clove and ginger add warmth, while the finish brings the sweet peat into a lighter, coastal-feeling direction with a sea breeze note.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to introduce to customers who are curious about Canadian single malt and want something with more detail than a simple smoke-forward profile. Bottled at 45%, it has enough (…)Whitlaw 2018 8y Unchill Filtered (Signatory)

Whitlaw 2018 8y Unchill Filtered is an Orkney single malt bottled by Signatory at 46%, presented without chill filtration. It feels very much like a bottling made to show a particular interpretation rather than a broad, standard house style.
The sherry finish adds an extra layer to this eight-year-old whisky, while the overall profile leans most clearly towards spice. Around that, there are gentler touches of fruit, floral notes, wood, saltiness and light peat. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that suits customers who enjoy independent bottlings with a precise sense of origin and style.

Isle Of Skye 18y is a Scottish blended malt shaped by maturity rather than sheer force. Eighteen years of ageing have softened the peat, allowing the fruit and spice to come forward without losing that gentle smoky thread.
Its charm lies in the way power and refinement meet. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a fine choice for drinkers looking for an aged blend with a more contemplative, developed style.
Bottled at 40%, it has a rounded profile that suits quiet sipping moments, yet it also has enough presence to sit alongside a thoughtful meal.

Maturation in bourbon barrels suggests a wood influence that supports rather than dominates the whisky. The supplied flavour profile points most clearly towards spice, with lighter touches of fruit, floral character, gentle saltiness and restrained peat adding detail around it.

Eleven years in bourbon and sherry casks bring together gentle peat smoke, fruit, citrus freshness and spice. With a light peat level of 20 PPM, the smoke stays refined rather than dominant, while bottling at 46%, without chill filtration and without added colouring, keeps the whisky close to its natural character.

Six Isles Rum Finish brings together the coastal freshness of the Scottish islands and the warmer, sweeter influence of Caribbean rum casks. The result is a Scotch blended malt with a sunnier edge, where island character meets notes that feel more exotic and spiced.

It is also the first Isle of Harris bottling for Adelphi, giving it a noteworthy place in the Drankenshop Broekmans selection.
Drawn from a single bourbon barrel and bottled at cask strength, it keeps close to the original cask and spirit character. Only 252 bottles were produced, so this is a small-scale release rather than a broad, everyday expression. With the last bottles now in view, that limited nature becomes part of its appeal.

Its appeal lies partly in its small scale. One cask produced just 252 bottles, and with the last bottles now in circulation, this is a release with a naturally limited window. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value bottlings like this because they show the character of one individual cask rather than a broad house style.

Lochlea Smoke Without Fire

Lochlea Smoke Without Fire takes a restrained view of smoky whisky. Rather than aiming for heavy peat impact, it brings smoke in a more elegant way, allowing the fruit, floral notes and gentle spice to stay clearly present.
The character comes from refill Bourbon casks that previously held Islay whisky. That detail matters: the casks contribute the impression of smoke without making it harsh or overwhelming. Red wine casks add a fruitier counterbalance, giving the whisky a softer lift around its coastal, smoky edge.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Lochlea as a thoughtful choice for anyone interested in smoke with finesse. Bottled at 46%, it has enough presence in the glass while keeping the style refined and approachable in its own quiet way.
