Akkeshi Daikan
On request only
Akkeshi Daikan is a Japanese blended whisky with a clearly defined direction. Rather than presenting itself as a wood-led whisky, it points towards spice, salinity and a gentle peated touch, supported by lighter fruity and floral notes. At 48%, it has enough strength to carry that profile with confidence, without relying on an age statement.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, whiskies like this are interesting because they show a different side of Japanese blending. Daikan is not built around obvious cask weight; the available profile suggests a drier, more savoury style, where spice and saltiness take the lead and the softer elements remain in the background.
With the final bottles available, Akkeshi Daikan is a particularly relevant choice for drinkers who follow (…)Talisker 8y Dlop Lmdw (Douglas Laing - Provenance)

Talisker 8y Dlop Lmdw (Douglas Laing - Provenance)
On request only
Talisker 8y Dlop Lmdw presents a Scotch single malt from Skye through the lens of independent bottler Douglas Laing. Released in the Provenance series, it draws attention to one clearly defined selection rather than to a broad, standard expression.
Distilled in December 2008 and matured for eight years in a hogshead, it was bottled at cask strength, 57.5%. With 428 bottles produced and the last bottles now remaining, this is a finite release with a very specific place and moment attached to it.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for the way they show a familiar Skye name from a more focused perspective. The combination of origin, strength and limited availability gives it a purposeful character for drinkers who enjoy independent single (…)Glen Scotia 10y Incl. Box

Glen Scotia 10y is a Scottish single malt from Campbeltown, presented in a style that keeps the focus clear rather than heavy. Matured for 10 years in bourbon barrels and bottled at 40%, it shows Glen Scotia through a measured lens: spice is the main thread, with lighter touches of fruit, floral nuance, saltiness and gentle peat in the background.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to introduce when someone wants a Campbeltown single malt that does not rely on weight or strong oak to make its point. Its character comes from the combination of region, age and a flavour profile where the savoury and lightly smoky sides remain well present without taking over.
For drinkers exploring Glen Scotia, this 10 year old gives a concise and (…)Akkeshi Peated Boshu

Akkeshi Peated Boshu
On request only
Akkeshi Peated Boshu is a Japanese single malt with a firm and focused presence. At 55% alcohol, it clearly sits in a more powerful style, while the peated element is present without being shown as the dominant force in the flavour profile.
Although oak cask maturation is part of the information, this is not presented as a heavily wood-driven whisky. The emphasis lies more on spice, supported by lighter touches of fruit, floral notes, saltiness and peat. That gives Akkeshi Peated Boshu a profile that feels direct and distinctive without becoming overloaded.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a particularly engaging bottle for those exploring Japanese single malt with a more pronounced edge. With 9000 bottles released and the final bottles now in view, (…)Elements Of Islay Fireside

Elements Of Islay Fireside

Elements of Islay Fireside is a limited release blended malt built from whisky from two characterful distilleries on Islay's north coast. Bottled at 54.5%, it has the kind of presence that suits its name: direct, warming and firmly rooted in a smoky Islay style.
The inspiration behind Fireside is wonderfully specific. Elements of Islay describes it as a smoky dram by the fire with friends, after a heavy downpour on Islay. Outside, the wind moves past the windows and rain hits the tin roof; inside, there is warmth, smoke and the feeling of having escaped the elements. That image carries through into the whisky itself.
Maturation in heavily re-charred hogsheads, American oak Oloroso sherry hogsheads and European oak Oloroso sherry butts gives this release its (…)Bowmore 1992 24y (Wemyss Single Cask)

Bowmore 1992 24y (Wemyss Single Cask)
Very last one in stock!
Bowmore 1992 24y is a mature Islay single malt with a very focused story behind it. Distilled in 1992 and bottled by Wemyss on 3 November 2016, it spent 24 years maturing before being released as part of the Wemyss Single Cask range.
What makes this bottle stand out is the single hogshead origin. Rather than representing a wider batch, it captures the personality of one individual cask, bottled at cask strength at 54.4%. Only 250 bottles were produced, and with the last bottles now available, it sits at Drankenshop Broekmans as one of those releases for drinkers who appreciate rarity with a clear whisky identity.
The character is firmly shaped by Islay cues: peat, salinity and spice are the main threads, with lighter fruity and floral accents adding some (…)Wolfburn Cask Strength26 58,2 Incl. Box

Wolfburn Cask Strength26 58,2 is a Highland single malt from Scotland with a direct, full-strength personality. Bottled at 58.2%, it presents the whisky with considerable natural power, rather than smoothing it into a gentler everyday style.
Its maturation brings together sherry and bourbon casks, yet the available profile does not point to a heavily wood-led whisky. Spice takes the lead, supported by lighter fruity, floral, salty and gently peated touches. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of bottle that suits customers looking for a more forceful single malt with a clearly defined Highland origin.

An Orkney 2012 9y Ww is a Scottish single malt from Orkney, bottled without revealing the distillery behind it. That gives the whisky a slightly more curious edge: instead of leaning on a familiar name, it invites attention to the actual character of this particular release.
Distilled in 2012, matured for 9 years and bottled at cask strength at 57.1%, it came from a hogshead. The profile does not point towards a heavily wood-led whisky; the emphasis sits more on spice, supported by lighter touches of fruit, floral notes, salinity and gentle peat.

Ledaig 2015 10y shows how compelling the meeting of peat smoke and wine cask influence can be. This single malt from the island of Mull belongs to Douglas Laing's Old Particular Wine Cask Collection, a series built around single casks finished in wine casks. Here, a Tawny Port Wine Cask finish brings a darker fruit accent to Ledaig's smoky island style.
Distilled in 2015 and bottled in 2025 after 10 years, it comes from one individual cask only. With an outturn of 342 bottles, this is less about a broad distillery profile and more about one specific cask speaking clearly: smoke, fruit, spice and a subtle saline edge.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for the combination of an English single malt identity, independent bottling and a mature age statement. Temporarily sold out
Shizuoka Pot Still W 2024 is a Japanese single malt where the production method immediately gives the whisky its point of interest. It was made from imported barley from Scotland and Germany and matured in ex-bourbon casks, but the defining detail is the first distillation in the W-still, a still heated directly by a wood fire.
That wood-fired distillation gives this release a distinctly crafted feel, without turning it into a heavily smoky whisky. Mostly unpeated malt was used, so the peat appears as a light background note rather than a dominant feature. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we like to present for its sense of place in the glass: grain, fire, bourbon wood and gentle smoke all playing their part.

Bowmore 14y Bordeaux Finish is built around a clear meeting point: Islay single malt on one side, a Bordeaux cask finish on the other. The whisky keeps its Scottish island identity, while the Bordeaux Finish adds another layer to a 14-year-old Bowmore.
What stands out here is the way the profile is shaped. Peat and a salty accent are present, but they do not take over completely. Spice has the stronger voice, with lighter touches of fruit, floral notes and wood sitting around it. That gives the whisky a more layered impression than a purely peat-driven Islay malt.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this kind of Bowmore as especially interesting for drinkers who enjoy Islay, yet want to explore what a wine cask finish can bring to a single malt. Bottled at 43%, (…)Islay Mist 21y

Islay Mist 21y is a Scottish blended whisky built around age, restraint and subtle detail. At 21 years old, it sits in a more mature part of the blend category, the kind of whisky that invites a slower approach rather than a quick first impression.
Its profile is not described as heavily wood-led. Instead, the character is shaped by light touches of fruit, floral notes, gentle spice, a saline edge and a measured hint of peat smoke. Nothing is pushed too far, giving the whisky a calm and understated feel.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the sort of bottle that draws attention from customers looking for an older Scotch blend with a soft smoky accent. With only the last bottles remaining, this 21-year-old Islay Mist also carries a quiet sense of scarcity.

Bourbon cask maturation provides the setting, but the main impression is shaped by the clearly present Islay elements: peat, saltiness and spice take the lead, with a lighter fruit note sitting behind them. Batch 15 is therefore a whisky with real presence, built around intensity rather than restraint.
