Woodford Madeira Finish

Woodford Madeira Finish
In stock
Woodford Madeira Finish belongs to the 2024 Master's Collection and says a great deal about Woodford's view on cask finishing. The aim is not to cover the whiskey with a new layer of flavour, but to highlight what is already present in the blend.
For this release, Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall explored Madeira cask finishing across bourbon, rye and wheat whiskey. These components were then blended with Woodford's fruity Kentucky Straight Wheat Whiskey, giving the whiskey a clear emphasis on fruit, spice and mature wood influence.
The Madeira casks, sourced from the islands off the coast of Portugal, are described by the producer as carrying dried fruit, spice and nutty associations from the fortified wine they once held. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see (…)Hellyers Road The Journeyman Tube Incl.

Hellyers Road The Journeyman brings Australian single malt into the glass with a style built around cask influence rather than an age statement. It is a whisky with a clear focus on fruit, spice and wood, shaped by maturation in bourbon and port casks.
There is no peated direction here; the interest lies in the way the cask types support a fuller, more rounded flavour profile. At 46.2% alcohol, it has enough presence to carry that structure without being presented as an overpowering whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see The Journeyman as a fine choice for drinkers who want to explore single malt beyond the more familiar origins, while still looking for a whisky with recognisable depth from fruit, spice and oak. With the last bottles now available, it also (…)Teeling Rising 1 Carcavelo

Teeling Rising 1 Carcavelo

Teeling Rising 1 Carcavelo is a 21-year-old Irish single malt whiskey bottled at 46%, with its character shaped further by a wine cask finish. It sits on the more mature side of Teeling, built around depth, cask influence and a style that does not rely on peat.
The Carcavelo name points to the finishing story, and the flavour profile supports that direction: fruit, spice and wood are all clearly present, while a lighter floral note adds a softer edge. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone interested in older Irish single malt with a finish that brings extra structure and nuance.
With only the last bottles remaining, Rising 1 Carcavelo has a naturally limited feel. Its appeal lies in the combination of age, (…)Arran The Explorers Series N°4 Drumadoon Point Incl. Box

Arran The Explorers Series N°4 Drumadoon Point Incl. Box

Arran The Explorers Series N°4 Drumadoon Point is a Scottish single malt from the Isle of Arran with maturity and release character at its centre. Aged for 23 years, sherry matured and bottled at cask strength at 49.5%, it sits firmly in the more serious side of Arran's range.
As the fourth release in The Explorers Series, it was bottled in an edition of 9,000 bottles. With only the last bottles remaining and the whisky marked as a collector's item, there is a clear sense of scarcity here, but the appeal is not only in the limited nature of the release. Drumadoon Point gives this bottling its own identity within the series.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of Arran that rewards a more attentive drinker: mature, sherry-led, bottled at a (…)Clynelish 1995 26y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Vintage Selection)

Clynelish 1995 26y is a Highland single malt with a very clear identity: one cask, one vintage and 26 years of maturation. It was distilled on 22 September 1995 and bottled on 25 February 2022 by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Vintage Selection.
The interest here lies in the combination of age, single cask origin and cask strength bottling. Drawn from a Sherry Butt and bottled at 50.7%, it keeps close to the individual cask rather than being shaped into a broad house-style release. With 576 bottles produced, this is a focused bottling rather than a whisky made in large volume.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of Clynelish for drinkers who enjoy mature Highland single malt with a clear wood, spice and fruit presence, and who (…)Compass Box Hedonism 2025

Compass Box Hedonism 2025 is a Scottish grain whisky where the interest lies less in an age statement and more in the style of the release. The Marsala cask reference gives this edition a clear direction, supported by a flavour profile in which fruit, spice and wood are all clearly present, with a lighter floral detail in the background.
Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry that cask-led character without moving into a peated or coastal style. The supplied profile points instead toward a whisky shaped by grain whisky softness, wood influence and a spiced-fruit line.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Compass Box Hedonism 2025 as the kind of bottle for someone who enjoys exploring Scottish grain whisky through a specific cask perspective. With 9,912 (…)Compass Box New Vibrations A&b Side 2 X 70cl (Compass Box Limited Edition)

Compass Box New Vibrations A&B Side is presented as a Scottish blended whisky gift pack containing two 70 cl bottles. The name naturally suggests two sides of the same release, giving the set a more considered feel than a standard single-bottle presentation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Compass Box stands out because of its limited nature. It is part of the Compass Box Limited Edition range, and with the last bottles now indicated, it has a sense of availability that is clearly narrowing.
There is no age statement here, and the whisky is bottled at 48.5%, placing the emphasis on the blend's style rather than on a stated maturation age. Worm Tub Magic 2007 15 year old presents Glen Elgin through a very focused lens: a Speyside single malt drawn from one individual cask. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023, it was released by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as part of the Artist Collection, a setting that suits a whisky with such a clearly defined identity.
The Oloroso Sherry cask is central to the way this release is positioned, and bottling at cask strength, 58.9%, keeps it close to the original cask character. Rather than a broad house-style expression, this is a 15-year-old Glen Elgin captured as one specific maturation.

Glen Grant 1999 26y shows a particularly atmospheric side of Speyside: herbal, resinous and elegantly wooded, with the feeling of walking through an autumn forest rather than tasting a whisky built on heaviness. Its 26 years in a hogshead have brought maturity and structure while keeping the whisky light on its feet.
Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2026 by The Whisky Agency, this release belongs to the Made for friends & wave farewell series. As a single cask bottled at 51.2% cask strength, it gives a direct impression of one individual barrel rather than a blended house style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling we value for its specificity: one cask, one long maturation, and a Glen Grant character shaped by herbs, resin, citrus and (…)Glenburgie 1994 28y Gmp (Gordon & Mcphail Connoisseurs Choice) Tube Incl.

Its appeal lies in the narrowness of the selection. This is a single cask whisky drawn from one hogshead, bottled at cask strength at 52.3%, with only 179 bottles produced. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures one particular cask of Glenburgie after a long period of maturation.

Its appeal lies in the way fruit, spice and wood influence sit at the centre of the whisky. A lighter floral side adds some lift, but the main impression is one of a fuller Speyside single malt with clear structure and no smoky emphasis.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Glen Moray Mastery has its place as a whisky for customers who like to look beyond age statements and explore a more powerful expression of a familiar single malt style. With the final bottles now indicated, it is not a release we (…)Aultmore 14y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Aultmore 14y Tb is a Speyside single malt with a maturation story that deserves attention. That makes the whisky feel more considered than a straightforward age statement alone might suggest.
Its style is built around fresh fruit, honeyed notes, malted grain, vanilla and gentle spice rather than peat or coastal influence. Bottling at 48.5% without chill filtration also suits the profile, keeping the texture and flavour presence intact.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would show to someone who enjoys Speyside whisky but wants a little extra depth from the cask work. (…)Blended Malt 2001 18y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Whisky Trail)

Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the individuality of one cask and one particular maturation path.
That single cask origin is the most interesting part of the story. A hogshead bottling like this places the focus on cask influence and maturity, with fruit, spice and wood all playing a clear role. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a release with a naturally limited character.
