Compass Box New Vibrations A&b Side 2 X 70cl (Compass Box Limited Edition)
In stock
Compass Box New Vibrations A&B Side is presented as a Scottish blended whisky gift pack containing two 70 cl bottles. The name naturally suggests two sides of the same release, giving the set a more considered feel than a standard single-bottle presentation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Compass Box stands out because of its limited nature. It is part of the Compass Box Limited Edition range, and with the last bottles now indicated, it has a sense of availability that is clearly narrowing.
There is no age statement here, and the whisky is bottled at 48.5%, placing the emphasis on the blend's style rather than on a stated maturation age. The profile points towards fruit, spice and wood influence, with a lighter floral accent and no pronounced peated (…)Clynelish 1995 26y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Vintage Selection)

Clynelish 1995 26y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Vintage Selection)

Clynelish 1995 26y is a Highland single malt with a very clear identity: one cask, one vintage and 26 years of maturation. It was distilled on 22 September 1995 and bottled on 25 February 2022 by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Vintage Selection.
The interest here lies in the combination of age, single cask origin and cask strength bottling. Drawn from a Sherry Butt and bottled at 50.7%, it keeps close to the individual cask rather than being shaped into a broad house-style release. With 576 bottles produced, this is a focused bottling rather than a whisky made in large volume.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as the kind of Clynelish for drinkers who enjoy mature Highland single malt with a clear wood, spice and fruit presence, and who (…)Glenburgie 1994 28y Gmp (Gordon & Mcphail Connoisseurs Choice) Tube Incl.

Glenburgie 1994 28 Year Old Gordon & McPhail is a Speyside single malt with a very focused identity. Distilled in 1994 and bottled on 16 August 2023, it spent 28 years maturing before being released as part of Gordon & McPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range.
Its appeal lies in the narrowness of the selection. This is a single cask whisky drawn from one hogshead, bottled at cask strength at 52.3%, with only 179 bottles produced. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures one particular cask of Glenburgie after a long period of maturation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for exactly that sense of specificity: a defined origin, a long age statement and a natural strength presentation. Worm Tub Magic 2007 15 year old presents Glen Elgin through a very focused lens: a Speyside single malt drawn from one individual cask. Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2023, it was released by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society as part of the Artist Collection, a setting that suits a whisky with such a clearly defined identity.
The Oloroso Sherry cask is central to the way this release is positioned, and bottling at cask strength, 58.9%, keeps it close to the original cask character. Rather than a broad house-style expression, this is a 15-year-old Glen Elgin captured as one specific maturation.
Only 241 bottles were filled, and with the last bottles indicated, it has become one of those releases at Drankenshop Broekmans that naturally draws attention from (…)Mortlach 2007 15y (Douglas Laing Old Particular) Tube Incl.

Mortlach 2007 15y is a Speyside single malt with a very defined origin: distilled in June 2007, matured for 15 years, and bottled in July 2022 by Douglas Laing as part of the Old Particular range. Drawn from a single refill hogshead, it captures one specific cask rather than a broad house style.
Only 287 bottles were produced, and this release was bottled exclusively for the Belgian market. That makes it a natural fit for the more specialised side of the Drankenshop Broekmans whisky selection: limited, clearly dated and shaped by one individual cask.
At 48.4% ABV, it has enough strength to carry its Speyside malt character and cask influence without turning the story into a purely high-strength bottling. With the last bottles now available, this is very much (…)Mosstowie 1979 40y Artist #11 (Signatory - Artist Edition) Incl. Box

Mosstowie 1979 40y Artist #11 is a single malt built around patience, cask selection and scarcity. Distilled in 1979, aged for 40 years and bottled by Signatory as part of the Artist Edition, it comes from one individual bourbon barrel rather than a larger vatting.
Only 150 bottles were drawn from that cask, at a natural cask strength of 50.3%. That gives this Speyside malt a very specific identity: wood, spice and fruit form the main lines of the profile, with a lighter floral accent sitting more quietly in the background.
Within the whisky selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this Mosstowie has the feel of a bottle for drinkers who appreciate the detail of a single cask and the way long maturation can shape a whisky over time. With the last bottles now (…)Bruichladdich 2003 18y #1347 18y (Rest & Be Thankful)

Bruichladdich 2003 18y #1347 is an Islay single malt drawn from one individual sherry hogshead and bottled at cask strength. With only 116 bottles released, it feels more like a close look at one particular cask than a broad house expression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are valued for their sense of place and detail. Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2020 as an 18-year-old, it brings together Bruichladdich, Islay origin, long maturation and the direct nature of cask strength whisky without the smoothing effect of a larger vatting.
The profile points towards fruit, spice and wood influence, supported by a lighter floral side. Peat smoke is not the focus here, so the attention shifts to the maturation and the individuality of the cask. At (…)Aultmore 14y Tb (Thompson Brothers)

Aultmore 14y Tb is a Speyside single malt with a maturation story that deserves attention. Although the whisky is 14 years old, its final character is shaped by a layered cask composition: one 18-year-old cask, two 15-year-old barrels and a small Oloroso Octave. That makes the whisky feel more considered than a straightforward age statement alone might suggest.
Its style is built around fresh fruit, honeyed notes, malted grain, vanilla and gentle spice rather than peat or coastal influence. Bottling at 48.5% without chill filtration also suits the profile, keeping the texture and flavour presence intact.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would show to someone who enjoys Speyside whisky but wants a little extra depth from the cask work. (…)Blended Malt 2001 18y (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Whisky Trail)

Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the individuality of one cask and one particular maturation path.
That single cask origin is the most interesting part of the story. A hogshead bottling like this places the focus on cask influence and maturity, with fruit, spice and wood all playing a clear role. With only the last bottles remaining, it is also a release with a naturally limited character.

Bunnahabhain 44y is a Scottish single malt from Islay with the quiet presence that comes from age, patience and careful selection. Bottled in 2020 by The Single Malts of Scotland as part of the Director's Special series, it was drawn from a single sherry butt after 44 years of maturation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would present as something apart from the everyday Islay conversation. The emphasis here is on the individuality of one cask and the rarity of the release: only 492 bottles were produced, and the remaining availability is now limited to the last bottles.
