Benriach 2009 12y Lmdw
On request only
Benriach 2009 12y LMDW is a Speyside single malt built around the individuality of one cask. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2021 at 12 years old, it presents a more specific snapshot of Benriach than a regular core-range release.
The port maturation and cask strength bottling at 59.8% give this whisky a firm presence. Its profile points towards clearly expressed spice and peat, with lighter fruity, floral and woody elements around them rather than dominating the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, releases like this are valued because they show whisky in a more focused form: one cask, one limited outturn, one particular interpretation. With 762 bottles produced and the last bottles available, this Benriach has the appeal of a defined and increasingly (…)Caol Ila 2018 8y Douglas Laing Single Minded Incl. Box

Caol Ila 2018 8y Douglas Laing Single Minded Incl. Box

Douglas Laing's Single Minded range is built around the idea of letting the distillery speak clearly. The whiskies are bottled without chill filtration and without added colouring, keeping the natural character of the spirit at the centre. In this Caol Ila, that means Islay peat presented with finesse rather than force.
Distilled in 2018, matured for 8 years in a bourbon barrel and bottled at 46%, it shows a fresh and precise side of Caol Ila. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is exactly the kind of Islay release we like to point out when someone wants peat, but also clarity: citrus brightness, soft malt, refined smoke and a maritime lift.
As the first Caol Ila expression in the new Single Minded series, it carries a sense of discovery. This small batch keeps (…)Islay 2007 18y (Alistair Walker - Infrequent Flyers) Tube Incl.

Islay 2007 18y (Alistair Walker - Infrequent Flyers) Tube Incl.
Very last one in stock!
Islay 2007 18y comes with a deliberate sense of mystery: the distillery is undisclosed, yet the Islay identity is unmistakably part of the story. This 18-year-old single malt was bottled by Alistair Walker for the Infrequent Flyers series, a setting that suits a whisky built around individuality rather than broad house style.
More than five years of finishing in an Oloroso puncheon gives the whisky a darker, richer frame around its peated Islay core. The smoke remains central, but it is joined by dark fruit, spice and sherried depth. At 53.7% cask strength, it keeps a firm, direct presence in the glass.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling we like to highlight for customers who enjoy the detail behind an independent release. One single cask, (…)Kyro Sauna Stories N°3 Peat Smoke With Monbazillac Casks Incl. Box

Kyrö Sauna Stories N°3 Peat Smoke With Monbazillac Casks is a Finnish rye whisky with a very clear sense of identity. The limited Sauna Stories series gives Kyrö's rye whiskies a distinctive finish in the warmth of a real Finnish sauna. For this third edition, Kyrö introduces smoke for the first time in the range, drawing inspiration from the Finnish smoke sauna tradition.
The familiar rye character of Kyrö is paired with freshwater peat smoke, giving the whisky a warmer, darker edge without moving away from its rye foundation. The finish in rare Monbazillac wine casks adds softness and depth, bringing a fruitier, gently wine-like sweetness alongside the spice of the grain.

Kyro Whisky Of Fire Incl. Box

In stockKyrö Whisky Of Fire is a Finnish rye whisky with a deliberately bold personality. Created as a limited edition in collaboration between Kyrö Distillery and the world of Game of Thrones, it feels very much in line with that setting: intense, modern and unmistakably characterful.
The whisky is made from 100% smoked malted rye, so the grain is not just present, it drives the whole experience. Maturation starts in bourbon casks before a rum cask finish adds extra structure and complexity, while keeping the rye at the heart of the whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would point to when someone wants to explore rye whisky beyond the more familiar style: spiced, smoky, grain-led and noticeably distinctive.

Ballechin 13y Cask Strength is a Highland single malt with a firm, direct style. At 13 years old and bottled at 54.9% cask strength, it keeps close to the whisky's natural intensity rather than presenting a softened version of it.
The bourbon and sherry cask maturation provides the framework, but the main impression is built around clear peat and spice. Fruit, floral tones and wood sit in the background, adding detail without taking the lead.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits comfortably among the more expressive Scottish single malts: a whisky for drinkers who appreciate Highland origin, cask strength bottling and a pronounced peated side.
The flavour profile is led by peat and spice, both clearly present and given extra weight by the 54.9% (…)Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek 50cl

Gouden Carolus Blaasveld Broek is a Belgian single malt whisky with a clearly peated side. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a Belgian whisky for drinkers who are drawn to smoke and structure rather than a broadly sweet or heavily fruity style.
Distilled in 2017 and matured in oak cask, it carries no age statement. That shifts the focus to its character in the glass: peat is the main feature, while wood, spice, fruit and floral notes play a lighter supporting role.
Bottled at 46% in a 50 cl format, this Gouden Carolus has a compact but expressive identity. It is a Belgian single malt where smoke and oak shape the experience, with the other elements kept more restrained.

Ballechin 2005 17y Small Batch Burgundy is a Highland single malt with a clearly defined personality. Distilled in November 2005, it spent 17 years maturing, with Burgundy casks forming an important part of its identity.
The appeal here lies in the meeting of maturity, peat and cask strength. Bottled at 53.5%, it keeps a firm, direct presence rather than being shaped into a softer standard expression. The Small Batch indication also gives it a more focused feel within the Ballechin range.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of whisky we would point out to someone looking for a Scottish single malt with real structure and a smoky-spiced core. The profile highlights peat and spice most clearly, supported by lighter floral, fruity, woody and salty (…)Lagg Small Batch Manzanilla

Lagg Small Batch Manzanilla
On request only
Lagg Small Batch Manzanilla shows a particularly focused side of Lagg: heavily peated single malt from the Isle of Arran, shaped by the salty, wine-like finesse of Manzanilla casks. The peat smoke is clear, but it is carried by more than intensity alone, with red fruit, warm honey and gentle spice giving the whisky extra depth.
Its maturation tells much of the story. The whisky first spent time in first- and second-fill bourbon barrels, before receiving more than a year of finishing in first-fill Manzanilla casks. That final stage adds a maritime, mineral edge and keeps the richness neatly framed.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this release as a strong choice within the Scottish single malt selection for drinkers who enjoy peat with structure and (…)Longrow Red Pinot Noir 15y

Very last one in stock!
Longrow Red Pinot Noir 15y is a Campbeltown single malt with a clear sense of direction. Fifteen years of age, wine maturation and bottling at cask strength give it a firm, expressive profile rather than a polished or softened one.
The Pinot Noir name places this release firmly within the Longrow Red style, where wine maturation plays an important role. What stands out here is the interplay between peat and spice, supported by lighter fruity, floral, woody and salty notes. It is a whisky built on contrast and structure, with the cask influence adding another layer without taking the focus away from the Longrow identity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would point this bottle towards drinkers who enjoy single malt with presence and a little edge. The 51.4% (…)Ardmore 2009 10y Nectar (The Single Malts Of Scotland - Single Malts Of Scotland For The Nectar)

Ardmore 2009 10y Nectar is a Highland single malt with a clear independent bottling identity. Distilled in December 2009 and bottled in October 2020 by The Single Malts of Scotland for The Nectar, it captures Ardmore through one focused release rather than a broad house expression.
Its appeal lies in the combination of a single cask, cask strength bottling and a small outturn of 230 bottles. That makes it a very specific snapshot: one cask, ten years of maturation, and a whisky presented with its strength intact at 57.8%.
The Peated Cask brings peat into the foreground, supported by a notably spicy profile. Wood, fruit, floral notes and a light saline edge sit more quietly around that core. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like for its (…)Bowmore 2010 15y (The Whisky Agency - Milroy's For Twa)

Bowmore 2010 15y is a very focused Islay single malt: one bourbon barrel, fifteen years of maturation, and bottled at cask strength by The Whisky Agency for Milroy's for TWA. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it captures the development of a single cask from one specific period.
Its character is built around coastal smoke, with a fresher fruit note sitting in the background. At 53.7%, the whisky keeps a direct, cask-strength presence in the glass, giving the maritime and peated side room to come through with real clarity.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottling that speaks to drinkers who enjoy independent releases with a clear origin. Distilled in 2010 and bottled after fifteen years from a single bourbon barrel, it offers a sharply (…)Kavalan The Peatist Oloroso

Kavalan The Peatist Oloroso brings Kavalan's fruit-driven style into a more heavily peated setting. It belongs to the Peatist range, a permanent series built around peated whisky and Kavalan's wish to explore flavour in a more adventurous, aromatic direction.
For this Oloroso release, the whisky matured in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks, giving the smoke a darker and richer frame. As a single cask bottling at cask strength, 57.8%, it keeps its intensity intact rather than polishing the edges away. It is also non chill filtered, reinforcing the impression of a whisky presented with a clear and uncompromised identity.

Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2021 after 10 years of maturation, this release was limited to 287 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, the fact that these are now the last bottles gives it the feel of a precise snapshot rather than a widely available expression.
What stands out is the emphasis on spice and peat, supported more gently by floral and fruity notes. Wood influence is not the main feature here, so the whisky comes across as a firmer, more distinctive take on Tormore rather than a (…)Cotswolds Peated Single Malt Incl. Box

Cotswolds Peated Single Malt shows the bolder, smoky side of British single malt whisky. Bottled at cask strength at 59.6%, it keeps a firm and direct presence, with the kind of intensity that gives the whisky real weight in the glass.
Peat is clearly part of the identity here, though it is not the only element at play. Light touches of fruit, spice, floral character and wood sit around the smoky core, giving the whisky a broader shape than a one-dimensional peated style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would place in front of someone looking for a powerful peated single malt without an age statement taking the spotlight. Benromach Peat Smoke shows a smoky side of Speyside single malt. The peat is not just a faint suggestion here; it is one of the defining elements, supported by a clear spicy note and lighter touches of fruit and floral character.
The bourbon barrel influence gives the whisky its setting without making oak the dominant theme. That keeps the focus where the name places it: on peat smoke and spice rather than heavy wood or coastal saltiness.

Glendronach Ode Embers presents a rarer, peated side of this Highland single malt. It is described as a tribute to older traditions, while still keeping the sherry-matured identity at the centre of the whisky.
The maturation is mainly in Oloroso sherry casks, with added depth from Pedro Ximénez casks. That gives the whisky a darker, spiced and sweetly roasted foundation, with peat smoke woven through rather than pushed to the front. At 48.4% alcohol, it has enough weight to carry those flavours with confidence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Glendronach as a particularly interesting bottle for drinkers who enjoy sherry-matured single malt but want a gentle smoky layer in the glass. It is warm, spiced and subtly peated rather than dominated by (…)Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 3 Incl. Box

Lochlea Cask Strength Batch 3 presents the annual Cask Strength series at its boldest so far. This Lowland single malt is bottled straight from the casks, without water being added, so at 59.8% it stays close to the feeling of tasting a sample directly in the maturation warehouse.
The defining choice here is the marriage created by the master blender. Oloroso Sherry casks bring richness and red fruit, while casks that previously held heavily smoked Islay whisky add a surprising smoky twist. It gives this release a darker, fuller and more forceful side of Lochlea, carried by sweet depth, spice and smoke.

Staoisha is the heavily peated side of Bunnahabhain, and this 2013 12-year-old bottling keeps that identity firmly in view. It comes from a single sherry butt, described in the product information as a 1st Fill Oloroso Butt, setting up a clear contrast between dry peat and the darker, more candied weight of sherry maturation.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Islay whisky we would introduce to someone looking for tension rather than softness. The peat remains earthy and coastal, while the Oloroso influence adds depth, density and a more indulgent edge without taking away the raw Staoisha character.
Bottled as part of The Nectar & Kirsch in collaboration with Signatory Vintage, it was distilled on 6 September 2013 and bottled on 1 August 2026 (…)Chichibu 2017 8y Cask #8253 Heavily Peated 1st Fill Bourbon Barrel

Its first fill bourbon barrel maturation brings vanilla, honeyed and chocolate-like notes into the picture, while the heavily peated style adds smoke and medicinal depth.
