Shizuoka Contact S

Shizuoka Contact S is a Japanese single malt with a notably direct presentation. Bottled at cask strength at 55.5%, it comes across as a whisky intended to show its character with real intensity rather than in a softened, diluted style.
There is no age statement attached to this release, so the focus shifts away from a number on the label and towards the nature of this particular bottling. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a choice for drinkers who want to explore Japanese single malt in a more forceful and less polished format.
With 5,000 bottles released and only the last bottles remaining, Shizuoka Contact S has a clearly defined place within the Shizuoka range. It is less a general introduction and more a specific release for those who like to (…)Blue Hanger Bos (Berry Bros)

Blue Hanger Bos (Berry Bros)
On request only
Blue Hanger Bos is a Scottish blended malt whisky that focuses on composition rather than an age statement. Its interest lies in the way malt whiskies are brought together into one expression, with clear fruity and spicy elements supported by a gentle touch of peat.
At 45.6% alcohol, it has a little more presence than many standard bottlings, yet the supplied profile does not point towards a heavily woody style. Although matured in oak casks, the emphasis sits more on fruit, spice and a light floral edge than on oak-driven weight.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, Blue Hanger Bos is the kind of Scottish malt that fits well for customers looking beyond a straightforward everyday whisky: layered enough to explore, but without relying on strong peat or pronounced wood (…)Yamazaki Peated The Essence Of Suntory 2010 11y 50cl

Yamazaki Peated The Essence Of Suntory 2010 11y 50cl

Yamazaki Peated The Essence Of Suntory 2010 11y is a Japanese single malt with a very focused identity: a peated Yamazaki, distilled in 2010 and bottled at 11 years of age. In the range at Drankenshop Broekmans, a release like this stands out because it shows a more specific side of Yamazaki rather than a broad house-style introduction.
The whisky is linked to American Oak and bottled at 54%, giving it a firm, confident presence. Although the name points clearly toward peat, the supplied flavour profile suggests that fruit and spice play a strong role too, with the peated element present as part of the composition rather than the only point of attention.
As these are the last bottles, this 50cl release naturally carries a sense of scarcity. It is a concise, (…)Yoichi Aromatic Yeast 2022

Yoichi Aromatic Yeast 2022 is a Japanese single malt where the name immediately suggests the focus: aroma, detail and a style built around expressive flavour rather than an age statement. The supplied profile points most clearly towards fruit and spice, supported by lighter floral, woody and gently peated touches.
At 48% ABV, it has enough strength to carry that character with confidence. It does not rely on a stated age to explain itself; the interest lies in the specific direction of the release and in the way its aromatic side is presented.
For Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Yoichi bottling that adds depth to a Japanese whisky selection without needing a long technical story. With only the last bottles remaining, it also has that quiet sense of (…)Mars Tsunuki 2020

Mars Tsunuki 2020 is a Japanese single malt from Mars Maltage with a notably assertive presentation. Bottled at 54%, it has the feel of a whisky made to show strength and definition rather than a soft, easy-going style.
With no age statement taking the lead, the focus falls on the whisky's profile. Fruit and spice sit at the centre, while lighter touches of wood, floral nuance and gentle peat add extra shape without dominating the overall impression.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Mars Tsunuki 2020 as a Japanese single malt for drinkers looking for something with more power and individuality. The fact that only the last bottles remain gives this release an added sense of scarcity within the selection.

Chichibu Paris 2025 Ginza X Les Champs Elysees connects two city landmarks: Tokyo's Ginza and the Champs-Élysées in Paris. Chichibu has created a Paris Edition every year since 2018, dedicated to the City of Light, and the 2025 release explores the identity of iconic districts in Paris and Tokyo. Its six labels use a colourful pop style inspired by Japanese kawaii culture, with stamp-like edges that suggest travel and correspondence between the two cities.
The whisky itself is built from a deliberately varied selection of casks. The cuvée includes new French oak, Spanish oak that held sherry, French oak that held Bordeaux red wine, an American oak hogshead, bourbon barrels and bourbon barrels that previously held heavily peated whisky. Paul John Christmas Edition 2022 is an Indian single malt whisky with a distinctly seasonal identity. Its name immediately places it in the atmosphere of a festive end-of-year release, while still remaining clearly tied to the Paul John style.
Bottled at 46%, it has enough strength to carry its character well. The flavour profile points towards a whisky where fruit and spice play the main role, supported by lighter touches of wood, floral notes and a gentle hint of peat.

Kilkerran 8y Cask Strength Port is a Campbeltown single malt with a very clear direction: eight years of maturation, port cask influence and bottling at a full 57.9%. It keeps the whisky close to its natural strength, giving it a firm, direct presence rather than a softened drinking profile.
The port maturation points the character towards fruit and spice. Wood, peat smoke and salty notes are not the elements that define this release; the focus is more on the interplay between youthful strength and the fruit-led cask influence.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in front of someone looking for a compact but powerful Scottish single malt with a clear cask strength identity. Adelphi's Private Stock Reserve Peated Batch 2 is a Scottish blended whisky built from selected malt and grain whiskies drawn from different distilleries across Scotland. Part of the whisky used comes from the islands, giving the blend its smoky, peated edge while still keeping the broader structure of a blended whisky.
The strength of this release lies in Adelphi's small-batch approach. Rather than feeling like a standard blend, it carries the sense of a carefully composed whisky, bottled at 46% and without chill filtration. That keeps the presentation close to the style Adelphi wants to show in this Regional Range bottling.

Compass Box This Is Not A Blend is a Scottish whisky with a name that immediately invites a second look, yet its real appeal lies in the detail of its aroma and flavour. At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits comfortably among limited editions that reward a slower, more attentive tasting rather than a quick first impression.
The opening is fresh and subtle, shaped by a saline sea breeze and notes of green barley, liquorice, vanilla, candied lemon and Williams pear. With time in the glass, deeper accents appear: cedar, clove, pepper, balm and acacia honey bring a spiced, slightly medicinal dimension.
On the palate it has weight without becoming heavy. Oily peat supports tropical fruit notes of pineapple and banana, alongside beeswax and acacia honey. From there it (…)Ben Nevis 2015 6y (The Whisky Trail By Elixir - Silhouette Series)

At 58.4%, this is a whisky with real presence. Its 6 years of maturation keep the expression youthful and energetic, while the single cask origin gives it a very specific view of Ben Nevis rather than the broader profile of a larger vatting.

Highland 2011 11y Tb is a Scottish Highland single malt from an undisclosed distillery. That discretion shifts the focus away from a familiar distillery name and towards the whisky itself: an 11-year-old single cask release with a clearly defined origin and maturation.

Expected: 27/10/2026Saint James's 10y Blend is a Scotch whisky from the Berry Bros Classic Range, built around maturity, generosity and a quietly intriguing sense of depth. It is positioned in an approachable way, yet the whisky itself gives more richness and complexity than that might suggest.
Matured for at least 10 years in bourbon cask, it leans into a generous, gourmand style with orchard fruit, caramel, vanilla, chocolate and a fresh citrus lift. In stockCampbeltown Loch 2026 is a blended malt with a strong sense of place. It is made exclusively from single malts and brings together whisky from the active Campbeltown distilleries: Springbank, Glen Scotia and Glengyle. In that sense, it feels less like a standard blend and more like a compact introduction to Campbeltown in one bottle.
The town of Campbeltown, on the Kintyre peninsula, has a rich whisky history and today produces five different single malts: Hazelburn, Longrow and Springbank at Springbank, Glen Scotia at Glen Scotia, and Kilkerran at Glengyle. Campbeltown Loch includes malt from each of these five names, giving it a genuine regional identity.
Maturation in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks gives the whisky its generous, layered style. (…)Oban Distillers Edition 2022 Tube Incl.
