Ricci Taureau 50cl Incl. Box

Ricci Taureau from Famille Ricci is a molasses rum built from two mature Caribbean components: 25% 10-year-old Jamaican rum and 75% 16-year-old Trinidad rum. That composition gives the bottling a clear sense of depth, with the Jamaican part adding aromatic drive and the Trinidad share bringing mature weight.
It was distilled using both pot still and column still distillation, then matured entirely in bourbon barrels. Bottled at cask strength at 65.6% ABV and without additives, this is a pure, forceful rum where concentration and authenticity are very much part of the experience.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, Ricci Taureau is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone looking for a serious, high-strength rum with ripe fruit, texture and intensity. With only (…)Dictador Libreto Ao 2002 Incl. Box

Dictador Libreto Ao 2002 is a Colombian rum built around maturity, craftsmanship and rarity. Distilled in 2002 and aged for 20 years, it belongs to a special Libreto release that Dictador describes as a collector's piece, created in honour of the brand's heritage.
Made from sugar cane syrup, distilled in a traditional column and matured in American oak, it brings together a classic production approach with a composed aromatic style. The profile points towards ripe fruit, floral nuance, gentle sweetness, light spice and a measured touch of wood.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Dictador we like to present to rum drinkers who enjoy a dated release with a clear sense of origin and patience. With the last bottles now in view, it has that extra (…)Minoki Japanese Rum Incl. Box

Minoki Japanese Rum Incl. Box

Minoki Japanese Rum by Helios stands out first of all because of where it comes from. Japan is not the most obvious name in rum, and that gives this bottle a quiet sense of curiosity before the glass is even poured.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, it sits naturally among rums for drinkers who enjoy looking beyond the familiar origins. The available details are simple and clear: a Japanese rum from Helios, bottled at 40% alcohol. Rather than relying on a long backstory, its appeal lies in that straightforward combination of origin and style.
With only the last bottles remaining, this is one of those releases where availability becomes part of the conversation. For anyone interested in broadening their rum shelf with a Japanese bottling, Minoki has a distinct (…)Diplomatico Vintage 2013 Incl. Box

Diplomatico Vintage 2013 Incl. Box

Diplomatico Vintage 2013 is built around the idea of a rum that is only released in limited quantities in outstanding years. This Venezuelan edition brings together the depth, elegance and layered character associated with Diplomatico, shaped by ten years of maturation.
For the 2013 vintage, Diplomatico brought three different types of its own distillates together before ageing, a first for this release. The rum then matured in ex-bourbon and whiskey casks made from American oak. That gives the bottle a clear sense of craft: a molasses rum tied to a specific vintage, with the wood influence supporting rather than overwhelming its rounded style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to introduce to customers who enjoy discovering a familiar (…)Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses has a more assertive personality than a classic easy-going sipping rum. Bottled at 50.5%, it keeps the strength and density suggested by the Rare Proof name, while remaining clearly built for tasting rather than simply for impact.
The supplied information points to a 2009 distillation and a 2022 bottling, after at least 13 years of maturation. Ageing in American oak bourbon casks gives a natural context to the caramel and wood notes found in the tasting description. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it reflects a Spanish-style rum approach where maturity, spice and roundness play an important role.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle in front of someone looking for a rum with (…)Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 Incl. Box

Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 Incl. Box

Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 sits within Dictador's Sinfonia releases, special editions described by the brand as rare pieces shaped by careful distillation and maturation. This Colombian rum is made from sugar cane syrup, traditionally column distilled, and comes from the 2004 distillation year.
American oak gives it a gentle woody frame, but the charm of this bottle lies mainly in its rounded, aromatic style. The tasting notes move through vanilla, caramel, honey, ripe banana, cinnamon and coconut, creating a warm and polished impression rather than a heavy one.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Dictador for drinkers who appreciate limited releases with a soft, fruit-led character and a sense of occasion. With only the last bottles remaining, (…)Hampden 9y 2016 Lrok Ms#3 1,5l (Velier)

Hampden 9y 2016 LROK MS#3 is a Jamaican rum with a clear sense of origin: distilled at Hampden Estate in Trelawny and centred on the LROK mark, described here as a meeting point between strength and refinement.
Nine years of tropical ageing give the rum real depth, while bottling at 60% keeps the experience vivid and direct. Pot still distillation and maturation in a bourbon barrel form the backbone, yet the personality leans strongly toward floral and fruity expression, with spice and wood playing a supporting role.
Produced in 600 bottles and presented in a 1.5-litre format, this Velier release has a distinctive place at Drankenshop Broekmans: a serious Jamaican molasses rum for drinkers who enjoy intensity with detail.

Emb Blend 14y Continental is a Jamaican rum from Velier, bottled as Velier and Scheer. Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, it spent 14 years in a bourbon cask. Taken together, those details point to a rum with substance: mature, firm in style and shaped by a combination of distillate character and cask ageing.
It is bottled at cask strength, with an alcohol level of 64.8%. That strength gives the rum a serious presence and makes it a bottle to approach with time and attention. At Drankenshop Broekmans, Velier releases such as this are valued for the way they show rum in a more direct, less softened form.
The Continental reference in the name gives this edition its own place within the bottling. With 14 years of age, bourbon cask maturation and (…)Panama 2006 14y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Panama 2006 14y from Daily Dram is a clearly defined independent rum: distilled in 2006, bottled in November 2020, and matured for 14 years in a bourbon barrel. It is a molasses-based Panamanian rum with a precise identity rather than a broad house-style blend.
Its appeal lies in the way the release captures one individual cask. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, this is a single cask rum at cask strength, with only 272 bottles drawn from the barrel. That makes it a focused snapshot of maturation, especially now that only the last bottles remain.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are selected for customers who enjoy exploring rum beyond the standard range. The multicolumn distillation gives the spirit a clean foundation, while the (…)New Grove 8y Whisky Finish Vercors

The Vercors whisky finish gives this New Grove its specific place within the range. Multicolumn distillation and a bottling strength of 46% suggest a rum made for unhurried tasting rather than casual mixing, with enough presence to let the cask influence speak.

Within the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in the conversation when someone wants Barbados character with a polished feel. Its minimum 13 years of maturation in American oak bourbon casks gives it warmth and structure, while the producer's information places it in a Spanish-style tradition. The result is a rum where fruit, spice and wood all have a role, without turning into a simple oak-driven spirit.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would introduce this Malecon to customers who enjoy aged rum with a little more strength and depth. It has the comfort of mature rum, but also enough freshness and power to keep each sip engaging.
