Graham's Crusted Port 2015 is a red fortified Port from Portugal's Douro, and the 2015 on the label refers to the year of bottling rather than a single harvest. That distinction matters: Crusted Port is blended from Ports of different years, then given time to develop in bottle. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Port that rewards a little explanation, because it sits close in spirit to bottle-aged, unfiltered Vintage Port while following its own style.For this bottling, the wines come mainly from Quinta dos Malvedos and Quinta das Lages, with smaller contributions from Quinta do Tua and Quinta do Vale de Malhadas. Graham's uses traditional Douro varieties here, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Barroca, Sousão and Tinta Amarela. The Port first matures in wood and is then bottled without fining or filtration to retain its ripe fruit character.
Because it is unfiltered, the wine naturally throws a deposit in bottle: the crust that gives the style its name. Decanting is part of the experience. Stand the bottle upright beforehand, pour it carefully, and serve it with chocolate desserts, dark chocolate or semi-mature and mature cheeses.

Graham's Port is the absolute reference when it comes to quality port. It is a house with a long and fascinating history that has been committed to producing products of absolute top quality, in all price ranges, for more than 200 years.
The story starts in 1820, when brothers William and John Graham founded the house. Soon the Graham's name became synonymous with quality, leading to the construction of the Graham's Lodge in Gaia and the acquisition of the Quinta Dos Malvedos in 1890.
