Licor Beirão is a Portuguese herbal liqueur with a clear sense of origin. Produced at Quinta do Meiral in Lousã, in the Serra da Lousã, it is presented by the brand as O Licor de Portugal a fitting description for a liqueur so closely tied to its Portuguese roots.
Its recipe is built around a secret blend of 13 spices, plants and aromatic seeds. Some of these botanicals are grown at Quinta do Meiral, while others come from countries including India, Sri Lanka, Brazil, Turkey and Malaysia. Production involves at least three weeks of cold maceration, followed by double distillation in copper stills and several months of resting in stainless steel tanks before bottling.
