Planteray Mauritius 2013 is built around a two-stage maturation. Distilled from molasses in Mauritius, it first spends 9 years in bourbon casks in Flic & Flac, before moving to Cognac Ferrand casks in Javrezac, France, for a further 2 years.
That journey gives this Planteray Vintage rum its main point of interest: Mauritian rum shaped further by a cognac cask finish.
