Mikkeller Black Bourbon Cask 37,5cl

Mikkeller Black Bourbon Cask 37,5cl is a Danish grain whisky bottled at 43%, offered in a smaller 37.5cl format. The name points clearly to bourbon barrel maturation, while the whisky is presented without an age statement, keeping the focus on its style rather than on a declared maturation period.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out for its Danish origin and its limited remaining availability. It is the kind of whisky that feels a little off the usual path, especially for drinkers who enjoy discovering names beyond the most familiar whisky regions.
The supplied flavour profile leans towards fruitiness, with lighter floral and spicy touches in support. Peat, saltiness and pronounced wood influence are not part of the stated profile, even though (…)Mikkeller Black Rum Cask 37,5cl

Mikkeller Black Rum Cask 37,5cl

Mikkeller Black Rum Cask is a Danish grain whisky with a clear point of difference: maturation in rum casks. Bottled at 43% and presented in a 37.5 cl format, it feels like a bottle made for discovery rather than routine drinking.
With no age statement given, the focus is on style and cask influence. The supplied flavour profile points towards light fruity, spicy and floral notes, without peat, salinity or pronounced wood taking the lead. That makes the rum cask element the main thread in the story of this whisky.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Mikkeller as one of those bottles that catches the eye of customers looking for a less predictable grain whisky. The indication that these are the last bottles adds to the sense that this is a fleeting release (…)Mikkeller White Dog 37,5cl

Mikkeller White Dog 37,5cl

Mikkeller White Dog is best approached as a New Spirit rather than a traditionally matured whisky. Coming from Denmark, it puts the focus on the spirit itself, without noticeable wood influence, so the drinker gets a more direct view of the character before maturation would start shaping it further.
The 37.5 cl bottle size suits that sense of exploration. At 42% alcohol it has a clear presence, yet the emphasis remains on a young, fruit-led style rather than oak, spice or smoke. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would introduce to someone curious about the rawer side of the whisky world.
With only the last bottles remaining, it is not a release that will stay around indefinitely.
