Chateau Rouget 2019
On request only
Chateau Rouget 2019 is the grand vin of Château Rouget in Pomerol, from the Labruyère family estate. The blend is 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, with fruit from vineyards on the Pomerol plateau, where gravel and clay shape the character of the wine.
The 2019 growing season brought a very warm summer, balanced by useful rainfall, and the château describes the Merlot and Cabernet berries as concentrated and juicy. In the cellar, part of the wine underwent vinification intégrale, while the rest was vinified in wooden vats, followed by ageing with 30% new oak. The result is presented in tasting notes as a full Pomerol with purity of fruit, polished but present tannins and real structure.

Château Rouget 2020 is the grand vin of the estate, from Pomerol on Bordeaux's Right Bank. The blend is led by Merlot, with Cabernet Franc playing a supporting role, and the fruit comes from Château Rouget's own vineyards on the Pomerol plateau. The estate describes the 2020 vintage as round, fruity and concentrated, with freshness and tension running through the wine.
The growing season helps explain that profile. A very wet winter was followed by an early start to the vines, while the clay-influenced soils helped carry them through the summer heat. Harvest began early, on 15 September, with hand-picking in small crates and several passes through the vineyards to capture parcel-by-parcel ripeness. In the cellar, careful sorting, full destemming, partial barrel (…)Chateau Rouget 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

It brings together the ripeness and concentration associated with Pomerol, while keeping the freshness and tension that Château Rouget highlights for this vintage.
The 2020 growing season at Château Rouget began after a wet winter, followed by early budburst and warm conditions in the first half of April. The clay-rich soils, having stored water from winter and spring rain, helped the vines cope with summer heat. Harvest started very early, on 15 September, and was carried out by hand in small crates, parcel by parcel, with careful sorting. In the cellar, part of the wine was (…)Chateau Rouget 2022

Château Rouget 2022 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux and the estate's first wine. The blend is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc, with fruit coming from vineyards on and around the Pomerol plateau, where clay and gravel soils are central to the wine's identity.
The 2022 vintage was a notable one at Château Rouget. Harvest began on 6 September, the earliest ever recorded at the estate. Grapes were picked by hand, carried in small crates and carefully sorted in the cellar. The producer describes the winemaking as low-intervention, with maturation including 30% new barrels. Although the growing season was very warm and yields were low because of smaller berries, the estate describes the must as ripe yet fresh.

Château Rouget 2022 Demi is a 37.5 cl bottle of red Pomerol from Bordeaux, produced by the historic Château Rouget estate. It is the château's grand vin, led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc in support. The half-bottle format gives it a very practical charm: a serious Pomerol for occasions where a full bottle is simply more than needed.
The 2022 vintage was notably warm and early at Château Rouget. A mild, dry winter was followed by a very early start to the growing season, then a hot spring and summer with a few well-timed rainfalls. Harvest began on 6 September and finished on 20 September, making it the earliest harvest ever recorded at the estate. Smaller berries meant low yields, while the estate highlights even ripening helped by cover crops and (…)Chateau Rouget 2022 Magnum (1,5l)

Château Rouget 2022 in magnum is a serious Pomerol with a clear estate identity. The château is one of the historic names of the appellation, mentioned in archives from 1700, and has been owned by the Labruyère family since 1992. The 2022 vintage is led by Merlot with Cabernet Franc in support, from vineyards on the Pomerol plateau where gravel, clay and iron-rich sandstone help define the wine's origin.
For Château Rouget, 2022 was an early and warm vintage, with harvesting starting on 6 September. Low yields and small berries gave concentrated must, while the estate's own approach for the year focused on ripeness, freshness and balance. Le Carillon De Rouget 2019

Le Carillon de Rouget 2019 is the second wine of Château Rouget in Pomerol, made from parcels selected specifically for this cuvée rather than for the estate's grand vin. Merlot sets the tone, supported by cabernet franc, giving this red Bordeaux a round, fruit-led Pomerol character.
The vines used for Le Carillon are around twenty years old on average, planted on terroirs described by the château as lighter and more open. The grapes are hand-picked in small 20 kg crates, sorted carefully and fermented parcel by parcel in stainless steel tanks. Maturation follows for 18 months in one-year-old oak barrels, so the wood plays a supporting role rather than dominating the wine.
The 2019 vintage at Château Rouget was shaped by a smooth (…)
