Paul John Brilliance comes from Goa and presents Indian single malt in a bright, unpeated style. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46%, preserving a natural sense of texture and flavour.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a whisky with a sunny, generous personality rather than a heavy one. The bourbon barrel maturation sits comfortably alongside the honeyed, vanilla-led and cocoa notes found in the tasting profile, with fruit and gentle spice giving it extra movement.
Brilliance is a welcoming introduction to Paul John: crafted, clear in style and expressive enough to enjoy slowly.
The aroma opens with nougat, orange blossom honey and a soft layer of vanilla. Beneath that, there is a sweet impression of honey and fresh pastry.
