Tres Hombres Isla Bonita 97 1l
In stock
Tres Hombres Isla Bonita 97 is a molasses-based rum with a noticeably more serious presence in the glass. The 1997 reference gives it an older, more developed frame, while the 50% strength points to a rum with real substance rather than a soft, easygoing style.
It was made in a multicolumn distilling style and shaped through a solera system, with a Madeira finish adding another layer to the composition. That finish is part of the story, but it does not overshadow the rum's broader identity.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Isla Bonita as a bottle for rum drinkers who enjoy a fruit-led profile with measured wood, spice and sweetness around it. With only the last bottles remaining, it has the feel of a release worth considering while it is still within (…)Cash Cane Saloon Cask

Cash Cane Saloon Cask
In stock
Cash Cane Saloon Cask is a molasses-based rum with a firmer style: bottled at 55% and matured in American Oak. The name sets a clear mood. This is a rum with presence, built around a clearly fruity profile, while oak, spice and sweetness play more of a supporting role.
Its origin and distilling style are both described as mixed, so the focus here is less on a single place or one fixed production route and more on the final character in the glass. With no age statement, the emphasis stays on strength, composition and flavour rather than a declared maturation age.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for customers looking for something with extra strength and a fruit-led profile rather than an overtly wood-heavy style. The last-bottles indication also (…)El Ron Prohibido Gran Reserva 15y

El Ron Prohibido Gran Reserva 15y

El Ron Prohibido Gran Reserva 15y is a Mexican molasses rum with a 15-year statement and maturation in bourbon barrels. It sits in a style where the fruit-driven side of the rum remains clear, while the cask adds a gentle touch rather than taking over.
Traditional column distillation and the use of a solera system shape a rounded, layered expression. The flavour profile points to fruit as the main theme, supported by light wood, mild spice and a measured sweetness.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone looking for a Mexican Gran Reserva with maturity and softness, but without an overly heavy oak or spice character.
The flavour profile is led by fruit, with sweetness playing a supporting role rather than (…)Ricci Influences N°3 (Famille Ricci) Incl. Box

Ricci Influences N°3 (Famille Ricci) Incl. Box

Ricci Influences N°3 is a molasses-based rum from Famille Ricci, built around a blend of Guatemala at 62% and Guyana at 38%. The use of both pot still and column distillation gives the rum a layered foundation, while the absence of additions keeps the focus on the blend and its maturation.
The cask selection adds much of the intrigue here. Bourbon casks, heavily toasted new casks, Sauternes casks and small toasted acacia casks come together in a style shaped by citrus, dried fruit, gentle honeyed sweetness and toasted notes. It is a refined rum rather than an overly wood-driven one, with the cask influence supporting the fruit and roasted accents.

Bonpland Sancti Spiritus 19y is a Cuban molasses rum built around age, origin and small-scale bottling rather than broad commercial uniformity. Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2018, it carries nineteen years of maturation in a 50 cl bottle.
The appeal here lies in its defined release character. This is a single cask rum with a Wine Finish, bottled at 45%, with a total outturn of 441 bottles. At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottles like this are often the ones that invite a closer look: not because they need loud claims, but because the details already tell a focused story.
Traditional column distillation gives it its Cuban foundation, while the maturation and finishing add structure around a clearly fruit-led profile. Wood, spice and sweetness are present in a (…)Patridom Gran Reserva Cask Strength 50cl

Patridom Gran Reserva Cask Strength shows the Dominican rum style in a more forceful form. Bottled at 57.5%, it keeps its cask strength, giving the spirit a concentrated presence without relying on an age statement.
Maturation in American and European oak brings a gentle thread of wood and spice, while the profile remains clearly fruit-led. The multicolumn distillation points towards a clean, defined style, with the higher strength adding weight and impact.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Patridom release we would place in front of someone looking for a bolder rum experience rather than a standard easy-going bottle. The 50 cl format and the indication that only the last bottles remain make it a less everyday appearance on the shelf.

Mezan Dominican Republic 2010 is a molasses-based rum from the Dominican Republic, bottled as part of the Mezan Vintages range. With its 2010 vintage and 10 years of age, it has a clear sense of time and origin rather than feeling like a generic rum expression.
Multicolumn distillation and maturation in bourbon cask shape a style where fruity and sweeter impressions sit at the centre. Oak and spice are present, but more as quiet support than as the main story. Bottled at 46%, it carries a little extra weight while keeping the focus on its approachable Dominican rum character.

Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses has a more assertive personality than a classic easy-going sipping rum. Bottled at 50.5%, it keeps the strength and density suggested by the Rare Proof name, while remaining clearly built for tasting rather than simply for impact.
The supplied information points to a 2009 distillation and a 2022 bottling, after at least 13 years of maturation. Ageing in American oak bourbon casks gives a natural context to the caramel and wood notes found in the tasting description. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it reflects a Spanish-style rum approach where maturity, spice and roundness play an important role.

American oak gives it a gentle woody frame, but the charm of this bottle lies mainly in its rounded, aromatic style. The tasting notes move through vanilla, caramel, honey, ripe banana, cinnamon and coconut, creating a warm and polished impression rather than a heavy one.

Emb Blend 14y Continental is a Jamaican rum from Velier, bottled as Velier and Scheer. Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, it spent 14 years in a bourbon cask. Taken together, those details point to a rum with substance: mature, firm in style and shaped by a combination of distillate character and cask ageing.
It is bottled at cask strength, with an alcohol level of 64.8%. That strength gives the rum a serious presence and makes it a bottle to approach with time and attention. At Drankenshop Broekmans, Velier releases such as this are valued for the way they show rum in a more direct, less softened form.
The Continental reference in the name gives this edition its own place within the bottling. With 14 years of age, bourbon cask maturation and (…)Panama 2006 14y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Panama 2006 14y from Daily Dram is a clearly defined independent rum: distilled in 2006, bottled in November 2020, and matured for 14 years in a bourbon barrel. It is a molasses-based Panamanian rum with a precise identity rather than a broad house-style blend.
Its appeal lies in the way the release captures one individual cask. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, this is a single cask rum at cask strength, with only 272 bottles drawn from the barrel. That makes it a focused snapshot of maturation, especially now that only the last bottles remain.

The Bourbon Cask influence adds a modest layer of wood, but the main impression remains fruit-driven and sweet. Spice and oak sit in the background, supporting the rum rather than pushing it into a heavy cask-led direction.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see Rammstein Rum as a modern, approachable molasses rum with enough structure to enjoy on its own, while keeping the focus clearly on fruit, sweetness and gentle cask influence.

Its maturation in a bourbon cask gives the wood influence a clear place in the profile, alongside a pronounced fruity side. Bottling at cask strength, 48.2%, keeps the presentation direct, while the traditional column distillation underlines its structured style. It is built on molasses rum, made in a traditional column style, then macerated with locally grown herbs from the Seychelles. That maceration gives the rum its most recognisable identity: fragrant, spice-led and still carrying a clear fruity side.
