Monymusk 2012 9y Small Batch (Rest & Be Thankful)

In stock

Monymusk 2012 9y Small Batch is a Jamaican molasses rum bottled by Rest & Be Thankful. It was distilled on 21 September 2012 and matured for 9 years before being released as a small batch bottling.

The appeal here lies in the straightforward style: pot still distillation, American Oak maturation and bottling at 46%. Rather than leaning on sweetness, this rum is presented with spice and structure at the centre, supported by a measured wood influence.

With 6076 bottles released, it remains a limited batch rather than a large-scale expression. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Monymusk sits well among Jamaican rums for drinkers who appreciate independent bottlings with a clear sense of origin and style, especially now that only the last bottles remain.

Ricci Voltface N°1 50cl (Famille Ricci)

In stock

Ricci Voltface N°1 from Famille Ricci is a molasses rum built around a 60% Guyana and 40% Jamaica blend. That immediately gives the bottle its direction: this is a rum where origin, distillation style and strength are allowed to stand clearly in the foreground.

It brings together column and pot still distillation and is bottled without additives. At 66.6% ABV, and presented at cask strength, Voltface N°1 is a concentrated rum experience rather than a softened interpretation of the style.

Maturation in ex-Pineau des Charentes Blanc casks and new chestnut wood gives this release its own place in the rum selection. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value it for that distinctive combination: Guyana and Jamaica brought together in a warm, spicy and intense rum (…)

A1710 Cheval Bondieu Tube Incl.

In stock

A1710 Cheval Bondieu is a Martinique rum made from sugar cane juice, and it holds a special place in the story of A1710. This cuvée was the distillery's first aged rum, blended from spirit matured for 18 to 36 months in French and American oak casks.

Its appeal lies in the way it keeps the energy of a relatively young rum while gaining spice, roundness and structure from the cask. The use of pot still and column distillation gives it a layered feel: expressive and powerful, yet not reduced to oak alone.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, Cheval Bondieu is the kind of bottle we like to point out to customers exploring aged sugar cane juice rum. At 51.5%, it has real presence in the glass, with enough aromatic detail to keep the strength in balance.

Depaz VSOP Incl. Box

In stock

Depaz VSOP shows a distinctly Martinique approach to rum: made from sugar cane juice, distilled in a traditional column and matured in bourbon casks. Rather than leaning on obvious sweetness, it draws its personality from spice, a gentle touch of wood and the fresh, cane-driven side of the spirit.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would place in front of someone looking for more structure and definition in the glass. The 45% strength gives it a confident presence without making the style feel heavy.

The VSOP name places this Depaz in a more matured expression, while the bourbon cask influence remains supportive rather than dominant. Its appeal lies in that combination of Martinique origin, spice, light vegetal notes and a drier overall (…)

Jamaica 2010 Wpl (1423 Single Barrel Selection)

In stock

Jamaica 2010 Wpl from 1423 Rum World Class is a Jamaican molasses rum built around the personality of one individual cask. It is a pot still rum marked as Worthy Park Light, with an ester level between 60 and 119. That detail gives useful context: this is a rum with a clearly Jamaican identity rather than a neutral, polished style.

The cask journey adds another layer to the story. It first matured for 9 years in Jamaica in an ex-bourbon cask, then moved to Denmark for a further 3 years in a Ruby Port cask. That port influence brings pronounced red fruit tones, while the original Worthy Park character remains at the centre.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value releases like this because they offer a very specific snapshot of rum maturation: single cask, bottled (…)

Guyana Mda 2012 10y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

On request only

Guyana Mda 2012 10y is the kind of rum where the details actually matter. Distilled in 2012 and bottled in May 2022 by The Nectar for the Daily Dram range, it comes from a single bourbon barrel rather than from a broad blend. That gives the bottle a very specific identity: one cask, one moment, one limited release.

Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, it has been bottled at cask strength, reaching 62.5% alcohol. Nothing in the supplied information points toward a softened, sweet style; the emphasis is instead on power, spice and directness, with the cask playing a supporting role.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a rum for drinkers who enjoy exploring individual cask selections from Guyana. With 227 bottles produced and the last bottles (…)

Guyana Mdb2m 2011 12y (Campbeltown Whisky Company - Watt Whisky)

In stock

Guyana Mdb2m 2011 12y is a molasses rum from Guyana, produced at Diamond and bottled by Campbeltown Whisky Company under the Watt Whisky name. Distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2024, it brings twelve years of maturation into a very focused release.

The attraction here is its small-batch nature. This is a single cask rum, bottled at cask strength at 57.1%, with only 264 bottles drawn from the cask. As the last bottles are now indicated, it has a natural place at Drankenshop Broekmans among those rums where the individual cask and limited availability matter.

Its Pot Still and Column distilling style gives the bottling a broader foundation than a rum built around just one distillation approach. The Whisky Finish adds another distinctive maturation detail. Rather (…)

Trois Rivières 1999 Incl. Box

In stock

Trois Rivières 1999 is a Martinique rum built around sugar cane juice rather than molasses, giving the bottle a clear sense of origin and raw material. The 1999 vintage in the name is the first thing that sets the tone: this is a specific dated release from Trois Rivières, not a generic expression.

Traditional column distillation and maturation in bourbon barrels shape the framework. The profile points most clearly toward spice, with restrained wood influence and lighter floral, fruity and vegetal touches around it. At 42% ABV, it has enough structure to carry those elements without making strength the main subject.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone interested in Martinique, cane juice rum and (…)

Within the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this bottle stands out as a more focused release. The remaining stock is limited to the last bottles, which suits the feeling of a rum drawn from a particular moment rather than a broad permanent expression.

Its profile points first towards spice, supported by lighter notes of fruit, wood, floral detail and a vegetal edge. That gives the impression of a Jamaican rum with structure and drive, more about character and firmness than overt sweetness.

Jamaica 2005 17y (Cadenhead)

On request only

Cadenhead's Jamaica 2005 17y tells its story through origin and time: a Jamaican rum distilled in 2005 and aged for 17 years. It does not need an elaborate presentation; the vintage, the age and the Jamaican origin already give it a clear identity.

The character leans towards spice rather than sweetness. Fruit, floral touches, wood and a subtle vegetal side sit in the background, while the spiced element gives the rum its main direction. At 46% alcohol, it has enough strength to carry that profile with clarity.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum that stands out for people looking beyond the obvious, especially when Jamaican origin and mature ageing matter. With the last bottles now in circulation, it has become a little less easy to come (…)

Bonpland Uitvlugt 23y 50cl (1)

Very last one in stock!

Bonpland Uitvlugt 23y is a molasses-based rum from Guyana, and its age immediately gives it a more contemplative place on the shelf. Twenty-three years of maturation bring a sense of maturity, while the 50% strength keeps the bottling firm and purposeful.

Its appeal lies in the combination of Guyanese origin, single cask selection and a wine finish. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we would introduce to someone who enjoys discovering a specific cask rather than a broad, standardised expression.

The production details mention both pot still and column distillation, placing it at the meeting point of two distilling approaches. With only the last bottles remaining, Bonpland Uitvlugt 23y feels like a focused opportunity to taste an aged Guyanese (…)

Mhoba Select R French Cask

In stock

Mhoba Select R French Cask is a South African rum with a bold, unpolished sense of identity. Made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still, it stays close to its raw material rather than moving toward a softer, heavily rounded molasses style.

The French cask reference and wine finish add a distinctive maturation angle, while the flavour profile suggests that wood remains a supporting element rather than the whole story. Bottled at cask strength at 65%, this is a rum presented with its power intact.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this Mhoba as a compact but expressive release for drinkers who enjoy rum with origin, structure and intensity. With 1200 bottles produced and only the last bottles remaining, it has the feel of a focused small release (…)

Caroni 21y (Velier)

In stock

Caroni 21y is a Trinidad molasses rum with a very clear identity: distilled in February 1996, matured for 21 years and bottled at cask strength. At 57.18% ABV, it keeps close to the strength and presence of the cask rather than presenting itself as a softened style.

The use of pot still and column distillation adds another layer to its story. Maturation in a bourbon barrel brings a restrained wood influence, while the main point of interest remains its age, Trinidad origin and full-strength bottling.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would take a moment to explain properly. Its collector's item status and the fact that these are the last bottles underline the scarcity of this 21-year-old Caroni release.

Papalin 7y (Velier)

In stock

Papalin 7y is a Jamaican rum from Velier with a clear idea behind it. It refers back to the early tropical blends of the late nineteenth century, when the exact make-up of a blend was often kept secret, but Luca Gargano takes a more open approach here. The rum is made with components from two Jamaican distilleries, Hampden and Worthy Park, even though the precise percentages are not disclosed.

The rums were aged for at least seven years at the distillery and matured in bourbon barrels. As a molasses-based pot still rum, Papalin 7y gives a vivid impression of what Jamaican rum can be: expressive, spicy and layered, yet still approachable enough to invite discovery. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present when someone wants more than a simple (…)

Jamaica Monymusk 17y (Cadenhead - Original Collection)

On request only

Jamaica Monymusk 17y from Cadenhead's is the kind of rum where the appeal lies in its focus. It is a Jamaican molasses rum, pot still distilled, and released as part of Cadenhead's Original Collection. Rather than presenting a broad house style, it points to a specific origin, a specific cask and a very defined bottling choice.

Seventeen years of maturation in a Bourbon Barrel gives this release its framework. The single cask nature makes it even more particular: this is one individual barrel captured at one moment in time. Bottled at 52.6% and at cask strength, it keeps close to the intensity and individuality of the cask from which it came.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this Jamaica Monymusk sits comfortably among rums chosen for drinkers who appreciate (…)

Renegade 2020 3y (Habitation Velier) Incl. Box

In stock

Renegade 2020 3y is built around Grenadian sugar cane rather than a broad, anonymous rum style. It is distilled from pure cane juice made with Lacalome Rouge and Jaune Lady cane varieties, giving the raw material a real voice in the glass. That makes the rum feel closely tied to its origin, with the cane itself forming the heart of the expression.

Distilled in pot still style and matured for 3 years in French and American oak casks, it combines youthful drive with cask-derived structure. At 55% alcohol, bottled at cask strength, the rum keeps a direct and concentrated character rather than being softened into something overly polished.

Planteray Xaymaca Special (Planteray Blend)

In stock

Planteray Xaymaca Special is built around one of Jamaica's most recognisable rum personalities: bold, lively and marked by that unmistakable sense of rum funk. In Planteray's Signature Blends range, different rum origins are presented with a clear sense of place, in the familiar raffia-wrapped bottles.

For Xaymaca, the Jamaican character comes from rums linked to Clarendon and Long Pond, with a notably long fermentation of one to three weeks. The product information also refers to the use of dunder pits, where remnants from previous distillations are kept and added back into new distillates. That detail helps explain the powerful and immediately recognisable flavour associated with this style.

The rum first matures locally in warm tropical conditions before (…)

Rivière Du Mat Royal Reserve is a rum from Île de Réunion built around sugar cane juice. That gives it a different starting point from rums centred mainly on molasses, with the cane itself playing a more direct role and traditional column distillation shaping the spirit.

Mhoba American Oak Aged

Mhoba American Oak Aged is a South African rum made from sugar cane juice and distilled in a pot still. That gives it a different starting point from many molasses-based rums, with the raw character of cane sitting closer to the heart of the spirit.

The American oak ageing is given an extra dimension through a whisky finish. With no age statement, the focus falls less on a number and more on style: fruit and spice are the main threads, supported by gentle wood influence, a light floral touch and a subtle vegetal edge.

At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to place in front of customers who want to explore how varied the category can be when cane juice, pot still distillation and cask influence come together. As these are the last bottles, (…)
