Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses Incl. Box
In stock
Malecon Rare Proof 13y + 2 Glasses has a more assertive personality than a classic easy-going sipping rum. Bottled at 50.5%, it keeps the strength and density suggested by the Rare Proof name, while remaining clearly built for tasting rather than simply for impact.
The supplied information points to a 2009 distillation and a 2022 bottling, after at least 13 years of maturation. Ageing in American oak bourbon casks gives a natural context to the caramel and wood notes found in the tasting description. Made from molasses and distilled in a traditional column style, it reflects a Spanish-style rum approach where maturity, spice and roundness play an important role.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place this bottle in front of someone looking for a rum with (…)Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 Incl. Box

Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 Incl. Box
In stock
Dictador Sinfonia Bourbon 2004 sits within Dictador's Sinfonia releases, special editions described by the brand as rare pieces shaped by careful distillation and maturation. This Colombian rum is made from sugar cane syrup, traditionally column distilled, and comes from the 2004 distillation year.
American oak gives it a gentle woody frame, but the charm of this bottle lies mainly in its rounded, aromatic style. The tasting notes move through vanilla, caramel, honey, ripe banana, cinnamon and coconut, creating a warm and polished impression rather than a heavy one.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Dictador for drinkers who appreciate limited releases with a soft, fruit-led character and a sense of occasion. With only the last bottles remaining, (…)Emb Blend 14y Continental (Velier And Scheer)

Emb Blend 14y Continental (Velier And Scheer)
In stock
Emb Blend 14y Continental is a Jamaican rum from Velier, bottled as Velier and Scheer. Made from molasses and distilled in a pot still, it spent 14 years in a bourbon cask. Taken together, those details point to a rum with substance: mature, firm in style and shaped by a combination of distillate character and cask ageing.
It is bottled at cask strength, with an alcohol level of 64.8%. That strength gives the rum a serious presence and makes it a bottle to approach with time and attention. At Drankenshop Broekmans, Velier releases such as this are valued for the way they show rum in a more direct, less softened form.
The Continental reference in the name gives this edition its own place within the bottling. With 14 years of age, bourbon cask maturation and (…)Panama 2006 14y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)

Panama 2006 14y (The Nectar - Daily Dram)
In stock
Panama 2006 14y from Daily Dram is a clearly defined independent rum: distilled in 2006, bottled in November 2020, and matured for 14 years in a bourbon barrel. It is a molasses-based Panamanian rum with a precise identity rather than a broad house-style blend.
Its appeal lies in the way the release captures one individual cask. Bottled by The Nectar under the Daily Dram label, this is a single cask rum at cask strength, with only 272 bottles drawn from the barrel. That makes it a focused snapshot of maturation, especially now that only the last bottles remain.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, bottlings like this are selected for customers who enjoy exploring rum beyond the standard range. The multicolumn distillation gives the spirit a clean foundation, while the (…)Mount Gay XO Incl. Box

Mount Gay XO is a Barbados rum built around molasses, bourbon barrel maturation and a blend of pot still and column distillation. Rather than relying on an age statement, it presents itself through style and structure: a rum where depth, fruit and gentle cask influence sit close together.
Within the rum selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we place in the conversation when someone wants Barbados character with a polished feel. The pot still component gives body, the column still side brings smoothness, and the bourbon barrel maturation adds a measured touch of wood without overwhelming the fruit-driven core.
At 43% ABV, Mount Gay XO has enough strength to carry its flavour, while keeping a composed and approachable profile. The (…)Dictador 10y

Dictador 10y

Dictador 10y shows a Colombian rum style built around maturity, softness and a clear fruit-driven side. As a sugar cane honey rum, multicolumn distilled and bottled at 40%, it is shaped more by smoothness and approachability than by sheer intensity.
The 10-year age statement and solera system give the rum its sense of development. Maturation in Colombian Oak adds a gentle woody accent, present enough to frame the spirit without taking attention away from its fruitier core.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a natural choice for anyone exploring Colombian rum with a rounded, lightly spiced and fruit-led character. Additional information can be found at https://www.dictador.com/

Malecon Rare Proof 13y Batch 2009
In stock
Malecon Rare Proof 13y Batch 2009 is a molasses rum with a noticeably firm personality. Distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2022 at 50.5%, it carries the Rare Proof name with purpose: this is a small-batch release with real presence in the glass.
Its minimum 13 years of maturation in American oak bourbon casks gives it warmth and structure, while the producer's information places it in a Spanish-style tradition. The result is a rum where fruit, spice and wood all have a role, without turning into a simple oak-driven spirit.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would introduce this Malecon to customers who enjoy aged rum with a little more strength and depth. It has the comfort of mature rum, but also enough freshness and power to keep each sip engaging.

Dominican Rum 2013 10y Tb (Thompson Brothers)
| 1 review
In stockDominican Rum 2013 10y by Thompson Brothers is the kind of rum that speaks through a very specific release rather than through a broad house style. Distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023, it comes from a single cask with a total outturn of 412 bottles. As one of the last bottles, it sits at Drankenshop Broekmans as a compact, clearly defined selection rather than a regular shelf-filler.
The rum comes from the Dominican Republic and is made from molasses using traditional column distillation. Maturation in Madeira wood gives the release its own frame, while the 54.8% cask strength bottling keeps the presentation direct and forceful.
Its appeal lies in that focused combination: ten years of age, one individual cask, a limited number of bottles and a bottler (…)Dictador 15y

Dictador 15y shows a mature side of Colombian rum, built around the house's smooth and polished style. That setting gives the rum extra depth while keeping its character rounded and approachable.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this sits well among rums for drinkers who enjoy maturity without excessive weight. The longer ageing, bourbon barrels and multicolumn distillation come together in a rum that feels generous, mellow and neatly composed.

Centenario 20y Fundacion is a Costa Rican rum with a direct link to the history of the brand. It was created in 2005 to mark Centenario's 20th anniversary, so the name is more than a number on the label; it reflects the occasion for which this rum was composed.
The blend brings together rums aged from 6 to 20 years, matured continuously through a solera system. That gives it a polished, rounded style, with the influence of American white oak adding structure without pushing the fruit into the background.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of rum we like to introduce to customers looking for something soft, elegant and quietly layered. Fresh fruit, subtle vanilla, citrus and a light woody touch make it expressive without becoming heavy.

Barcelo 11y is a Dominican rum with a distinctly small-batch feel. Elizabeth Yard bottled it after 11 years of maturation at 51.15%, keeping it at cask strength rather than softening it down to a more standard drinking strength.
Its appeal lies in the fact that it comes from a single Bourbon Barrel, with only 92 bottles drawn from that cask. That gives this release a very specific identity: less a broad house expression, more a close look at one individual barrel. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we value these kinds of bottlings because they show a more focused side of rum, shaped by one cask and one moment in maturation.
