Hail, rain and wind marked the flowering period, but a dry summer soon followed, allowing the grapes to ripen fully before the mid-September harvest. The balance of sunshine and cool temperatures helped lift the fruit aromas while keeping the acidity that the house looks for.The blend is led by 85% Chardonnay Grands Crus, mainly from the Côte des Blancs and the Montagne de Reims, with 15% Pinot Noir from the Grand Cru of Aÿ. Its Extra Brut dosage of 4 g/l keeps the champagne precise and gastronomic, while the Pinot Noir gives the rosé its own presence.
