Castellare Di Castellina I Sodi Di San Niccolo 2019
In stock
Castellare Di Castellina I Sodi Di San Niccolo 2019 is a red wine from Tuscany, carrying a name that immediately places it in the world of Italian wine. The producer, Castellare Di Castellina, and the 2019 vintage are the central points here, giving the bottle a clear identity without needing to overstate it.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would introduce this as a Tuscan red for customers specifically looking for an Italian wine with a defined vintage and origin. With 14% alcohol and only the last bottles remaining, it has a more limited presence in our selection.
As no detailed tasting notes or further production information are supplied, the description stays deliberately factual: a 2019 red wine from Tuscany by Castellare Di Castellina, now available only (…)Castellare Di Castellina I Sodi Di San Niccolo 2019 Magnum (1,5l) Incl. Box

I Sodi di San Niccolò is Castellare di Castellina's flagship wine, a Toscana IGT from Tuscany presented here in a 1.5-litre magnum. The larger format suits a wine of this stature: structured, deeply rooted in its place of origin and made with a clear gastronomic purpose.
The 2019 vintage is made from 85% Sangioveto, Castellare's local name for Sangiovese, with 15% Malvasia Nera. It is therefore a Tuscan blend built entirely on native grape varieties. The name refers to the hard, steep soils known locally as sodi and to the church of San Niccolò on the estate. The vineyards lie around Castellina in Chianti, on calcareous clay-loam soils at roughly 430 to 442 metres above sea level.
Everything about the production points to a wine made with (…)Giodo Brunello Di Montalcino 2018

Giodo Brunello di Montalcino 2018 is a dry red wine from Tuscany's Brunello di Montalcino DOCG, made entirely from Sangiovese. Giodo is Carlo Ferrini's Montalcino project, begun after he purchased his first plot there in 2002. The vineyards are situated around Sant'Angelo in Colle and Sant'Antimo, at roughly 300 metres above sea level, with a south-eastern exposure.
The 2018 vintage was built with patience. Fermentation took place in stainless steel and concrete, followed by a total of 20 days on the skins. Maturation then continued for around 30 months in wooden casks of 500, 700 and 2,500 litres, before a period in cement and further bottle ageing. The result is a Brunello where the oak presence is integrated rather than dominant.

Giodo Brunello Di Montalcino 2018 Magnum (1,5l)
On request only
Giodo Brunello di Montalcino 2018 in magnum is a Tuscan red wine with a very clear identity: 100% Sangiovese from Podere Giodo in Montalcino. The 1.5-litre bottle gives the wine a generous table presence, while the wine itself remains the same Brunello di Montalcino DOCG from the 2018 vintage.
Podere Giodo is the personal project of Carlo Ferrini, who acquired his first plot in Montalcino in 2002. The estate is small, around 6 hectares, and its work is strongly focused on Sangiovese, vineyard selection and strict grape selection. For this Brunello, only the best bunches from the estate are used.
After manual sorting, the grapes are moved by gravity into steel tanks for the first stage of vinification. The wine then matures in French oak, followed by time in (…)Giodo Brunello Di Montalcino 2019

Giodo Brunello di Montalcino 2019 is the main Brunello from Podere Giodo, Carlo Ferrini's Montalcino project. It is a Tuscan red wine under the Brunello di Montalcino DOCG designation, made from Sangiovese in line with the appellation's rules.
The wine is linked to a small amphitheatre-like vineyard parcel around La Poderina, at roughly 300 metres altitude, with light, stony soils and views towards Monte Amiata. For this Brunello, Giodo selects only the estate's Sangiovese grapes considered suitable for its longest-maturing wine. That helps explain the style described for the 2019: focused on precision, freshness and structure rather than sheer weight.
Its maturation is deliberately layered. After fermentation and skin contact, the wine spends around 30 (…)Giodo La Quinta 2020

Giodo La Quinta 2020

Giodo La Quinta 2020 is a Tuscan red with a very clear place within the estate of Carlo and Bianca Ferrini. The name refers to the fifth vineyard planted by Carlo Ferrini at Giodo, near Montalcino, between Sant'Angelo in Colle and Sant'Antimo. At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a fine example of how expressive Sangiovese can be beyond the Brunello label.
Made entirely from Sangiovese, the wine comes from 3.5 hectares of vineyard at around 400 metres altitude. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by twelve months of ageing in large oak casks, tapered oak tanks and cocciopesto amphorae. Further maturation in concrete and time in bottle complete the élevage.
That mix of oak, amphora and concrete gives La Quinta 2020 its particular (…)Giodo La Quinta 2021

Giodo La Quinta 2021 is a red Tuscan wine released as Toscana Rosso IGT, with its roots firmly in the Montalcino area. It comes from Podere Giodo, Carlo Ferrini's estate, and the name La Quinta refers to the fifth vineyard planted for Giodo. That detail gives the wine a personal frame: this is not just a regional red, but part of a focused sangiovese project.
The wine is made entirely from sangiovese grown around Sant'Angelo in Colle and Sant'Antimo. Some of the fruit comes from younger vines than those used for the estate's Brunello selections, giving La Quinta its own role within the Giodo range: expressive, fresh and clearly rooted in the same sangiovese identity.
Its maturation is carefully layered. After fermentation in stainless steel, the wine spends (…)Giodo La Quinta 2022

Giodo La Quinta 2022

Giodo La Quinta 2022 is a Tuscan red wine with Sangiovese very much at its core. It is made by Podere Giodo, Carlo Ferrini's estate near Montalcino, and is officially named La Quinta Rosso Toscana IGT. The name refers to the fifth Sangiovese vineyard Ferrini planted at Giodo.
Although bottled as Toscana IGT, the wine remains closely connected to the Montalcino area. The 2022 vintage was warm and dry, so the vineyard context matters: sites at around 400 metres, a south-eastern exposure and nearby cooling woods are all mentioned as factors that helped preserve freshness in the grapes.
La Quinta follows its own maturation path after fermentation, partly in large oak casks and partly in cocciopesto amphorae, followed by further resting before release. It (…)Mazzei Castello Di Fonterutoli Siepi 2020

Siepi 2020 is a Tuscan red wine with a very specific origin: the Siepi vineyard near Castellina in Chianti. Castello di Fonterutoli, owned by the Mazzei family, produces this Toscana IGT from an equal blend of Sangiovese and Merlot. That combination defines the wine: Merlot brings plum-like roundness and juicy depth, while Sangiovese adds freshness, length and firm Tuscan structure.
The vineyard sits at around 260 metres above sea level, with south to south-west exposure and alberese, a limestone-rich soil associated with this part of Chianti. For the 2020 vintage, the vines were 22 to 35 years old and the grapes were harvested by hand. The wine spent 18 months in French oak, followed by 4 months in concrete tanks, giving it spice, polish and structure without reducing it (…)Mazzei Castello Di Fonterutoli Siepi 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Mazzei Castello Di Fonterutoli Siepi 2020 in magnum is a red wine from Tuscany, produced under the Castello di Fonterutoli name. With the Siepi label, the 2020 vintage and the 1.5 litre bottle size, it has the feel of a wine chosen with a particular moment in mind rather than simply opened without thought.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, a magnum like this stands out because it brings more than volume to the table. It suits shared meals, thoughtful gifting and occasions where the bottle itself becomes part of the setting.
This Italian red from Tuscany has an alcoholic strength of 14.5%. The product is marked as last bottles, making it especially relevant for anyone specifically looking for Siepi 2020 in magnum format.

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno 2020 is a Tuscan red with a clear Bordeaux-inspired structure, yet it remains firmly rooted in its Toscana IGT origin. The blend brings together Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, and this double magnum format of 3 litres gives the wine a real sense of occasion without changing the identity of the cuvée itself.
For the 2020 vintage, the composition is 50% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Petit Verdot. The Merlot is associated with the clay-rich parts of the estate, while Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on more gravelly soils that encourage drainage. The grapes were hand harvested, hand selected and destemmed, then vinified in temperature-controlled and open tanks before 18 months of ageing in French barriques.

Orma 2020 Double Magnum is a Tuscan red with a clear Bolgheri identity, officially released as I.G.T. Toscana Rosso. It comes from Orma, connected with Tenuta Sette Ponti and the Moretti Cuseri family, with vineyards on or near the Via Bolgherese. That setting matters here: clay- and pebble-rich soils, a low-lying position and a blend built around merlot, cabernet sauvignon and cabernet franc.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we like to present with a little context. It is not just a large-format red wine; it is the flagship wine of the Orma estate, produced since the 2005 vintage, and the 2020 release was matured for 18 months in small French oak casks before further bottle ageing prior to release.
The double magnum format gives the wine (…)Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno 2020

Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno 2020 is a red Toscana IGT from Tuscany and the flagship wine of Tenuta Sette Ponti. Built from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, it follows the idea of a Tuscan Bordeaux-style blend while keeping a clear sense of its central Tuscan origin.
The fruit comes from the estate's vineyards at around 250 metres altitude, with a southern exposure and soils described as clay, sand, galestro and pebble-rich sections. Merlot is associated with the more clay-based plots near the stream that gives Oreno its name, while Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on better-drained, stonier ground. The grapes are harvested by hand, with careful sorting and reduced yields in the vineyard.

Classified as Toscana IGT, it brings together Merlot as the leading variety, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. In this 1.5-litre magnum, the same cuvée gains a more generous table presence, especially when the bottle is opened for a shared meal.
The name Oreno refers to the stream that runs through the estate. Merlot grows on a clay-rich part of the property, while Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on more gravelly soils that help with drainage. Clay, sand and galestro limestone form the broader vineyard setting. The 2020 vintage is described as warm, with balanced ripening and a particularly expressive role for the Merlot.
