Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno 2020 is a Tuscan red wine with a clear Bordeaux-inspired identity. Classified as Toscana IGT, it brings together Merlot as the leading variety, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot. In this 1.5-litre magnum, the same cuvée gains a more generous table presence, especially when the bottle is opened for a shared meal.The name Oreno refers to the stream that runs through the estate. Merlot grows on a clay-rich part of the property, while Cabernet Sauvignon is planted on more gravelly soils that help with drainage. Clay, sand and galestro limestone form the broader vineyard setting. The 2020 vintage is described as warm, with balanced ripening and a particularly expressive role for the Merlot.
The grapes are harvested by hand, sorted and destemmed before fermentation in controlled tanks. After malolactic fermentation, the wine spends 18 months in French oak barriques, split between new barrels and second-use barrels. That ageing supports Oreno's full, structured style, adding cedar, coffee and chocolate-like depth around its dark fruit core.

Tenuta Sette Ponti is an Italian winery that traces its origins to the Tuscany region, an area that is valued worldwide for its rich wine tradition. Located near Arezzo, the estate covers about 300 hectares, a significant part of which is planted with grape varieties typical of the region, such as Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery is mainly known for its red wines, including well-known labels like Oreno and Crognolo.
