Product info about Chateau Dassault 2022
Château Dassault 2022 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion, from the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation and classified as Grand Cru Classé. The blend is led by Merlot, supported by Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the wine a classic right-bank profile built around dark fruit, structure and ageing potential.The estate has a noteworthy background. Marcel Dassault acquired it in 1955, when it was still known as Château Couperie, and gave it the Dassault name. In 2022, the neighbouring classified vineyard area of Château Faurie de Souchard was integrated into Château Dassault, while the cellar facilities were modernised with a gravity-led approach.
For this vintage, the grapes were hand-harvested and vinified parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats, with maturation spread across new barriques, foudres, vats, amphorae and one-wine barrels. That combination suits a wine described for concentration and power, but also for freshness and a precise structure.
