Château Dassault 2020 is the estate's grand vin from Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé. Merlot leads the blend, supported by Cabernet Franc and a small proportion of Cabernet Sauvignon, giving the wine a clearly dark-fruited Saint-Émilion identity with structure and freshness behind the ripeness.
The vineyard setting adds important context. The parcels lie on the northern slope of Saint-Émilion, on soils combining sand, clay and molasse du Fronsadais. The grapes were hand-harvested, optically sorted and vinified parcel by parcel in temperature-controlled concrete vats, with part of the vinification carried out integrally in barrels. Maturation lasted 12 to 16 months, with a significant share of new barrique and a small amphora component.
