Clos des Lunes Lune d'Argent 2022 is a dry white Bordeaux from the Sauternes area of France, offered here in a 1.5 litre magnum. Within the Clos des Lunes range, Lune d'Argent is described as the estate's Grande Cuvée, built around Sémillon with Sauvignon Blanc adding freshness and lift.Its origin matters. The vineyards lie across complementary terroirs in Sauternes, Bommes and Barsac, bringing together depth, freshness and finesse in a dry white wine rather than the sweet style more commonly associated with the area.
For the 2022 vintage, the grapes were hand-harvested in small crates over successive pickings. The winemaking remained deliberately gentle: slow pneumatic pressing, no destemming, no maceration, natural settling by gravity, then six months of ageing, partly in barrique and mostly in tank, with regular lees stirring.
