Irish Mist is a whiskey liqueur produced in Tullamore, Ireland. It is made from aged whiskey, heather and clover honey, and herbs. It is claimed that the base recipe is more than 1000 years old. Irish Mist has been commercially produced since 1947 and is a variant of an age-old local drink, the heather wine. The name comes from the mythology of Ireland and refers to a magical mist that wizards used to make themselves invisible to other people.
