Product info about Chateau D'esclans Rock Angel Rose 2025
Rock Angel 2025 is a dry rosé from Provence, produced within the wine project linked to Château d'Esclans. In the Côtes de Provence rosé landscape, it sits in a more structured position than Whispering Angel, while keeping the pale, clear colour and polished Provençal style that make this category so recognisable.The wine is built around Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle and Syrah, with fruit mainly from Château d'Esclans and selected vineyards around the Esclans valley and the wider Côtes de Provence area. The grapes are harvested cool to preserve freshness, followed by careful selection and low-oxidation winemaking. Fermentation and ageing take place partly in temperature-controlled stainless steel and partly in large French oak demi-muids, with bâtonnage during maturation. That detail matters: the oak is used more for texture, roundness and subtle creaminess than for obvious vanilla flavour.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we would place Rock Angel among the Provence rosés with extra depth. It remains dry, fresh and elegant, yet has enough shape to work well with food such as shellfish, oysters, grilled fish, sushi, Mediterranean dishes, white meat or lightly spiced plates.

Rock Angel is a wine brand from France that is part of the portfolio of Chateau d´Esclans, a respected estate in Provence that is known for its rosés. Located in the region around La Motte, Chateau d´Esclans, under the leadership of founder Sacha Lichine, has acquired a prominent position within the world of premium rosé wines in a relatively short period of time. Rock Angel was introduced as a more expressive and structured alternative within the family, positioned alongside the popular Whispering Angel. The grapes for Rock Angel mainly come from limestone-rich vineyards near the chateau and consist primarily of Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), grape varieties that are typical for rosé from Provence. The wine is vinified partly in stainless steel and partly in oak barrels, which provides a fuller mouthfeel and a slightly more complex character than many other Provence rosés. Rock Angel manages to appeal to both fans of fresh and fuller rosé and has become a recognizable name for those seeking French rosé with a refined, international look.
