Château Brane-Cantenac 2022 in half bottle is the estate's Grand Vin from Margaux, presented in a 37.5 cl format. It is the same 2022 wine, simply in a smaller bottle, making it a thoughtful choice when a full bottle of serious Bordeaux is more than the occasion requires.This Deuxième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification is led in 2022 by Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot and small proportions of Cabernet Franc, Carménère and Petit Verdot. The estate links the character of this vintage closely to old Cabernet Sauvignon vines on the Brane plateau, grown on clay-rich gravel soils that play an important role in the wine's structure.
The 2022 growing season was dry, warm and sunny, producing small berries and an early yet extended harvest. Fermentation took place in wooden vats, with extraction carefully managed, followed by 18 months in new French oak barriques. The result is a concentrated Margaux with ripe fruit and preserved freshness, a combination the estate itself highlights for this vintage.

Ch Brane Cantenac is a well-known wine producer from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Margaux appellation within the Medoc. The estate carries the full name Chateau Brane-Cantenac and has a long history dating back to the 18th century. In 1855, the chateau was recognized as Deuxième Grand Cru Classé during the famous Bordeaux classification, indicating an established reputation within the region.
