Château Léoville Las Cases 2020 is the Grand Vin of Léoville du Marquis de Las Cases, a red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien in the Médoc. This 37.5 cl half bottle contains the same wine as the standard format, but in a size that feels especially useful when you want to open a great Bordeaux with focus and moderation.Its origin lies in the historic Léoville terroirs, notably Clos Léoville Las Cases on the northern side of Saint-Julien, towards Pauillac. The 2020 blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon, with Cabernet Franc and Merlot in support. That gives the wine a clearly structured Saint-Julien profile, with firmness, freshness and a long ageing perspective.
The 2020 growing season started early after a mild, rainy winter and a warm spring. From the second half of August, drier conditions and marked day-night temperature differences helped build aromatic and phenolic ripeness. Ageing in French oak barriques, with a high proportion of new oak, adds polish and detail while leaving the Cabernet-driven structure at the centre.

Château Lëoville Las Cases is a renowned winery from the Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Saint-Julien appellation in the Médoc. The winery has a history dating back to the 17th century and is part of the original Lëoville vineyard, which was split up in the early 19th century. The vineyard of Château Lëoville Las Cases borders closely on that of Château Latour in Pauillac, which contributes to the unique terroir of this estate.
