Château Vray Croix de Gay 2021 is a red Pomerol from Bordeaux shaped by the character of the vintage: fresh, precise and aromatic rather than broad or heavy. It is made from 80% merlot and 20% cabernet franc, from organically grown grapes; the vineyard has been organically certified since the 2018 vintage.The estate is small, with around 3.67 hectares in the heart of Pomerol, divided into parcels and micro-parcels on clay and gravel soils on the plateau. The vines average around 45 years of age, adding to the sense that this is a wine built on detail and origin rather than simple richness.
