Chateau Beychevelle 2021 is the grand vin of Château Beychevelle from Saint-Julien, on Bordeaux's Left Bank. As a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, it carries a serious pedigree, but the interest here is especially in the vintage character: 2021 shows a fresher, more restrained and classically structured side of Beychevelle.The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon at 57%, with 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet presence is central to the wine's shape, supported by the estate's deep Garonne gravel soils and its position close to the Gironde. The year itself was technically demanding, with frost, cool wet periods and mildew pressure, followed by sunnier weather in August and September that helped the Cabernet Sauvignon reach maturity.

Château Beychevelle is a historic winery from the prestigious Bordeaux region in France, specifically located in the Saint-Julien appellation in the Médoc. The estate has a rich history dating back to the 16th century and has, over the centuries, grown into a name that sounds familiar to many wine enthusiasts.
