Chateau Beychevelle 2019

Château Beychevelle 2019 is the Grand Vin of the Saint-Julien estate on Bordeaux's Left Bank. As a Fourth Growth from the 1855 classification, Beychevelle carries serious Bordeaux pedigree, yet the 2019 vintage is particularly engaging for the way it brings together concentration, freshness and fine tannic depth.
The blend is 49% Merlot, 46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Around 55% of the harvest was selected for the Grand Vin, drawn from the estate's best plots. In the modern cellar, parcel-by-parcel vinification supports that selective approach, followed by 18 months in oak barriques, 60% of them new.
The growing season brought a dry, sunny summer, later balanced by September rain and cooler nights. According to the (…)Chateau Beychevelle 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

On request only
Château Beychevelle 2019 Magnum is the grand vin of Château Beychevelle from Saint-Julien in the Médoc. It is a dry red Bordeaux from an estate listed as a Grand Cru Classé in the 1855 classification. The 1.5-litre magnum is not a separate cuvée, but the same grand vin in a larger bottle format.
The 2019 vintage was shaped by a dry, sunny and very warm summer, followed by September rain and cooler nights. According to the château, this helped extend ripening while preserving freshness in the grapes. The blend brings together merlot, cabernet sauvignon, petit verdot and cabernet franc, with a firm selection for the grand vin: around 55% of the harvested volume was used.
Its maturation reflects the classic Bordeaux (…)Chateau Beychevelle 2021

Chateau Beychevelle 2021

Chateau Beychevelle 2021 is the grand vin of Château Beychevelle from Saint-Julien, on Bordeaux's Left Bank. As a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, it carries a serious pedigree, but the interest here is especially in the vintage character: 2021 shows a fresher, more restrained and classically structured side of Beychevelle.
The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon at 57%, with 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. That Cabernet presence is central to the wine's shape, supported by the estate's deep Garonne gravel soils and its position close to the Gironde. The year itself was technically demanding, with frost, cool wet periods and mildew pressure, followed by sunnier weather in August and September that helped the Cabernet (…)Chateau Beychevelle 2021 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Beychevelle 2021 is the Grand Vin of this Saint-Julien estate on Bordeaux's Left Bank, a 4th Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification. This demi bottle contains 37.5 cl, making it a practical way to open a recognised Bordeaux name without committing to a full bottle.
The 2021 vintage has a distinctly classical feel. A cool, wet growing season was followed by sunnier conditions in August and September, helping Cabernet Sauvignon to ripen particularly well. That is reflected in the blend: 57% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Ageing with 70% new barriques adds structure and polish while keeping the wine firmly within its Saint-Julien style.

Château Beychevelle 2022 is the estate's grand vin, a dry red Bordeaux from Saint-Julien AOC in the Médoc, on the left bank of the Gironde. It is a Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, generally listed as a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé.
The 2022 vintage carries the imprint of a hot, dry growing season. After a cold winter, spring frost and an exceptionally warm summer, the château harvested small, concentrated berries with thick skins and pronounced tannins, while retaining freshness through concentrated acidity. The blend is 54% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot and 4% Petit Verdot, giving the wine a recognisably Saint-Julien sense of structure and depth.
Beychevelle's vineyard lies close to the Gironde, with deep (…)Chateau Beychevelle 2022 Demi (37,5cl)

Château Beychevelle 2022 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle of the estate's grand vin from Saint-Julien. It is a particularly appealing format when you want to open a serious Left Bank Bordeaux without committing to a full bottle.
Beychevelle is a Quatrième Grand Cru Classé from the 1855 classification, and the 2022 vintage is based on cabernet sauvignon, merlot and a small proportion of petit verdot. The growing season was hot and dry, producing small, concentrated berries with thick skins. That background helps explain the wine's dark colour, generous concentration and firm yet controlled structure, while the tasting notes repeatedly point to freshness as an important part of its balance.
Maturation with 70% new oak gives the wine extra (…)
