Château Haut-Bages Libéral 2020 is the grand vin of this Pauillac estate in Bordeaux, classified as a Cinquième Grand Cru Classé in 1855. Its identity is closely tied to place: clay-limestone gravel soils around the château and deep gravel on the Bages plateau. The estate specifically links the limestone element in its vineyards with the freshness and mineral expression of the wine.The 2020 blend is 78% Cabernet Sauvignon and 22% Merlot, giving the wine a firm Pauillac frame. The producer describes 2020 as a great Médoc vintage, shaped by a particularly dry and sunny summer.
