Product info about Valdespino Los Arcos 2022
Valdespino Los Arcos 2022 is a different expression of Jerez. Rather than a fortified sherry, this is a still white wine made from Palomino, grown in Viña Los Arcos within Pago Macharnudo Bajo. Its origin matters: the white, calcareous albariza soil gives the wine its dry, mineral backbone.The vineyard has been certified organic since 2018. Grapes are hand-harvested and selected at optimal ripeness, then fermented in carefully chosen Valdespino sherry casks. After fermentation, the wine spends around four months on its lees, bringing a subtle rounded texture to an otherwise fresh and precise style.

About VALDESPINO
The first roots of Bodegas Valdespino were laid in 1264, when Don Alfonso Valdespino was granted an estate in Jerez de la Frontera by King Alonso for his help in the struggle against the Moors. Today, Valdespino is a purveyor to, among others, the Spanish and Swedish royal families. Contrabandista Amontillado is a blend of Palomino and Pedro Ximenez. The grapes come from Pago Macharnudo Alto in Jerez de la Frontera. Fermentation takes place in casks, which was very common in the past, but is now unique to Valdespino. The sherry is aged for about 8 years in barrel and 7 years under oxidative aging.
