Symphonie de Haut Peyraguey 2019 is a sweet white Sauternes from Bordeaux, made by Clos Haut-Peyraguey in Bommes. It is the second wine of an estate classified among the Premiers Crus Classés of Sauternes in 1855, so its background is immediately clear: it reflects the house style, but in a cuvée with its own place in the range.For the 2019 vintage, the blend is 95% Sémillon and 5% Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes come from Clos Haut-Peyraguey's vineyards in Barsac and Sauternes, from vines averaging around 35 years old, planted on gravelly and sandy soils over a clay subsoil. Harvesting is carried out by hand, according to ripeness and the development of noble rot, a key element in the character of Sauternes.
In the cellar, the wine sees light settling under temperature control before fermentation in barriques. Depending on the lot, the barrels may be new or may have held one previous wine. The oak frames the aromatic richness, while the wine remains very much in the Sauternes tradition: sweet, expressive and kept lively by acidity.

Clos Haut Peyraguey is a wine estate from the Sauternes region in France, specifically located in Bommes, in the heart of the renowned Bordeaux area. The estate belongs to the classified Premier Cru Classé of 1855 and is known for its sweet white wines, made from traditional grape varietals such as Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc, and Muscadelle.
