Château La Dominique 2019 in magnum is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé with a clear sense of place. The estate sits in the north-western part of Saint-Émilion, close to the border with Pomerol, and that position is reflected in a wine built around ripe depth, structure and polish.The 2019 blend is led by merlot, with cabernet franc and a small proportion of cabernet sauvignon. The grapes were harvested entirely by hand, and the wine spent 14 months in a mix that included new oak barriques, one-year-old barriques and a small share of alternative vessels such as amphora and a vegetal polymer egg.
