Vermouth Del Professore Rosso has its roots in Italian aperitif culture, with a name that looks back to Jerry Thomas, the legendary bartender and cocktail pioneer known as The Professor. That reference suits the bottle well: this is a vermouth with a clear sense of style, made for people who appreciate the story behind a classic drink as much as the drink itself.It is produced at Antica Distilleria Quaglia, a family distillery in the hills between Monferrato and Turin, now run by the fourth generation. The vermouth is built on Italian white and red wines, including moscato from the Langhe area, and aromatised with more than a dozen herbs and spices from the surrounding region. Honey, chamomile, gentian and wormwood shape its aromatic profile.
