Cantina Sardus Pater Arruga Carignano del Sulcis Superiore 2020 is a Sardinian red wine made entirely from Carignano. It comes from Sant'Antioco in the Sulcis area of south-west Sardinia, where old vines grow close to sea level on sandy soils. That very specific island setting is central to the wine's identity.
The name Arruga means road or street in Sardinian, referring to the white road that leads to the vineyard. The wine itself is built with considerable care: alberello-trained vines with an average age of around 80 years, fermentation in stainless steel, full malolactic fermentation in barriques, then 12 months in Allier oak barriques followed by 12 months of bottle ageing.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, we see this as a Sardinian red with substance and a (…)Cantine Sardus Pater Is Arenas Carignano Del Sulcis Riserva 2019 Magnum (1,5l)

Cantine Sardus Pater Is Arenas Carignano del Sulcis Riserva 2019 is a Sardinian red wine with a very clear sense of origin. Is Arenas means the sands in Sardinian, a direct reference to the sandy soils of Sant'Antioco, where the Carignano grapes are grown at sea level.
The wine is made entirely from Carignano, sourced from old ungrafted bush vines with an average age of around 80 years. That background gives this Riserva a more concentrated, structured expression within the Carignano del Sulcis DOC. Fermentation takes place in steel, followed by maturation for 12 months in Allier barriques and a further 12 months of bottle ageing.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this magnum is the kind of bottle we would place on the table when the meal deserves a red with depth (…)Cantina Sardus Pater Arruga Carignano Del Sulcis Superiore 2020 Magnum (1,5l)

Cantina Sardus Pater Arruga Carignano del Sulcis Superiore 2020 is a Sardinian red wine with a very clear sense of place. It comes from Sant'Antioco in south-west Sardinia, where Carignano grows on sandy soils at sea level. This cuvée is made from 100% Carignano, from alberello-trained vines with an average age of around 80 years.
Old ungrafted vines, sandy ground and low yields form the backbone of Arruga. The name means street in Sardinian and refers to the white road leading to the vineyard, a small detail that says a great deal about the wine's local roots.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while the malolactic fermentation is completed in barriques. The wine then matures for 12 months in Allier barriques, followed by another 12 months (…)Cantine Sardus Pater Ad49 Vermentino Di Sardegna Spumante Metodo Classico 2021

Cantine Sardus Pater AD49 Vermentino di Sardegna Spumante Metodo Classico 2021 is an Italian sparkling wine with a clearly Sardinian identity on the label. Its name already tells the main story: Sardus Pater as producer, Vermentino di Sardegna as the key reference, the 2021 vintage, and Metodo Classico as the stated sparkling wine style.
At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of bottle we would present to someone looking beyond a general Italian spumante. It carries a more specific sense of origin and style, with Sardegna and Vermentino di Sardegna placed right at the centre of its identity.
At 13% alcohol, it sits firmly within the sparkling wine category and can be approached as a serious spumante for an aperitif or a table setting, while staying (…)Cantine Sardus Pater Amentos Moscato Di Cagliari 2022 Demi (37,5cl) Incl. Box

Very last one in stock!
Cantine Sardus Pater Foras Cannonau di Sardegna 2022 is a Sardinian red wine with a name that says more than it first appears. Foras means outsider or stranger in Sardinian, a reference to the fact that Sardus Pater is based on Sant'Antioco, while the Cannonau grapes for this wine come from elsewhere on Sardinia.
The wine is bottled under the Cannonau di Sardegna DOC and is made from Cannonau. Cantine Sardus Pater is a cooperative founded in 1949, working with grapes from its member growers. For this cuvée, the producer refers to vineyards at sea level, soils with pebbles and vines averaging around twenty years of age. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel with controlled-temperature skin contact, followed by full malolactic fermentation and several months of (…)Cantine Sardus Pater Is Arenas Carignano Del Sulcis Riserva 2020

Cantine Sardus Pater Is Arenas Carignano del Sulcis Riserva 2020 is a Sardinian red wine with a strong sense of place. The name Is Arenas means the sands in Sardinian, referring to the sandy soils of Sant'Antioco, the island in the south-west of Sardinia where these Carignano grapes are grown.
The wine is made entirely from Carignano grown at sea level. The vines are trained as free-standing alberello, planted on their own roots, and are described by the producer as being around 80 years old on average. That gives this Riserva a very specific identity: old Carignano vines on sand, from an area that Cantine Sardus Pater has made central to its work.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, while the malolactic fermentation is completed in barriques. The (…)Cantine Sardus Pater Is Solus Carignano Del Sulcis 2021 Magnum (1,5l)

Is Solus from Cantine Sardus Pater is a Sardinian red wine with a strong sense of origin. It comes from Sant'Antioco, in the south-west of Sardinia, within the Carignano del Sulcis DOC. In this 1.5-litre magnum, the 2021 vintage has a generous table presence, especially alongside grilled or roasted red meat.

Cantine Sardus Pater has a clear focus on Carignano on Sant'Antioco, and Is Solus reflects that island setting in a ripe, herbal, Mediterranean style that still keeps freshness in the mouth.

Kanai Carignano del Sulcis Riserva 2018 from Cantine Sardus Pater is a Sardinian red wine with a strong sense of place. It carries the Carignano del Sulcis DOC Riserva designation and is made entirely from Carignano, a grape variety that sits at the centre of this producer's work.
The most compelling part of the story is the vineyard origin. Sardus Pater refers to bush-trained alberello vines on sandy soils at sea level, with ungrafted vines averaging around 80 years of age. That gives Kanai a very specific Sardinian identity, tied closely to Sant'Antioco rather than to a broad, anonymous Italian red wine style.

Cantine Sardus Pater Nur Carignano del Sulcis 2021 comes from Sant'Antioco, off the south-west coast of Sardinia, where Carignano is closely tied to sandy soils, sea influence and old vines. It is a red wine from the Carignano del Sulcis DOC, made from Carignano, with the character of the place clearly at the centre.
Rather than relying on a dominant oak signature, Nur is shaped around fruit, freshness and Mediterranean nuance. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by further ageing before release, keeping the wine focused on its red-fruited, savoury and gently herbal side. At Drankenshop Broekmans, this is the kind of Sardinian red we like to present to customers who want something with origin and personality, without losing drinkability.
