Clos Fourtet 2022 is a red Saint-Émilion from Bordeaux with a strong sense of origin. It is the grand vin of Clos Fourtet, a Premier Grand Cru Classé within Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, based close to the village of Saint-Émilion. The limestone plateau is central to the wine's identity, with tasting descriptions repeatedly pointing to chalky, saline mineral tension alongside ripe dark fruit.Merlot leads the blend, supported by Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. The 2022 vintage also has a notable estate detail: it is the first Clos Fourtet vintage to include grapes from the former Château Les Grandes Murailles, following the reunification of these historically connected properties under the Clos Fourtet name.
