Château Clerc Milon 2022 Demi is the 37.5 cl half-bottle of Château Clerc Milon's grand vin from Pauillac. It is not a separate cuvée, but the same dry red Bordeaux in a smaller format. In the Bordeaux selection at Drankenshop Broekmans, it stands out as a practical way to enjoy a serious Pauillac without opening a full bottle.The 2022 vintage was shaped by a warm, dry growing season, producing small berries with notable concentration. The blend is 59% Cabernet Sauvignon, 32% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc and 1% Carmenère. That small share of Carmenère is part of the estate's identity, supported by old plantings of the variety. The vineyard lies on the croupe de Mousset in Pauillac, close to the Gironde, with deep gravel, wind-blown sand and clay-limestone subsoil.
After hand harvesting and parcel-by-parcel vinification in a gravity-fed cellar, the wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques, 55% of them new. It is a Pauillac built around ripe fruit, firm structure and clear Cabernet drive, with the capacity to develop further. If opened young, aeration is worthwhile. This half-bottle is now down to the last available bottles.
