Château Chasse-Spleen 2022 in magnum is a dry red Bordeaux from Moulis-en-Médoc, presented in a 1.5-litre bottle that suits the wine's structured, ageworthy nature. The blend is led by cabernet sauvignon, supported by merlot, petit verdot and cabernet franc.The 2022 growing season brought a relatively dry winter, several heatwaves from June onwards and an early harvest under good conditions. Chasse-Spleen's vineyards are rooted in gravel over clay-limestone subsoil and clay on limestone. Fermentation took place in temperature-controlled stainless steel and concrete vats, followed by ageing in oak barriques with a proportion of new wood.
